Lee Soo-man, who serves as key producer and visionary leader of A2O Entertainment (hereinafter A2O), is drawing attention for his “unmarried & non-married” video. Girls’ Generation’s Sunny released a video on her Instagram on October 15 with the comment, “Sharp dance! Will we be together on next week’s ‘M COUNTDOWN’?” She further wrote with humor, “Even if you add up the ages of all the members, we still can’t win.” The released footage shows Lee Soo-man dancing together with A2O producer Yoo Young-jin to the debut song “NEON” by the company’s rookie group A2O LITE. The video is believed to have been produced using AI. Once the video was released, it became a major topic among K-pop fans. In particular, artists from SM Entertainment, which Lee Soo-man once led, also reacted, drawing attention. TVXQ’s Changmin, aespa’s WINTER, SUPER JUNIOR’s Leeteuk and Heechul, and Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany all pressed “like.” In addition, 2PM’s Taecyeon left a comment saying, “Is this okay? (lol)?” and Heechul exclaimed, “Soo-man hyung, you’re doing well.” Lee Soo-man is 74 years old this year. A2O LITE is the first K-pop idol group unveiled since Lee Soo-man moved to A2O Entertainment, and is a nine-member multinational girl group. On the 12th, they held their global debut show, “WELCOME TO SOULITE From A2O SOUL A2O LITE,” at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, and on the 13th at 6 p.m. they released their debut song “NEON” through various music streaming sites. The debut song “NEON” reached No. 1 on MelOn’s main chart “TOP 100” in South Korea, following the great attention drawn by the debut show’s stage. Through the song, the members sing their determination not to remain in this brilliant present moment, but to move beyond it. The addictive repeated phrase “Neon and beyond,” set over a heavy bass, has become a topic among K-pop fans because it sounds like “mihon and bihon” (unmarried and non-married).
