BLACKPINK's Jennie conveys Korean beauty with a new Hangul font that incorporates traditional aesthetic sensibilities and modern sensibilities. Today (the 9th), OA Entertainment (ODD ATELIER) announced the release of the new font 'ZEN SERIF' through its official website and official SNS, wishing for more people to use Hangul conveniently and beautifully. Additionally, OA Entertainment has registered Hangul fonts for the first time in the short-form video editing app 'Edits' in collaboration with Meta, allowing all app users worldwide to freely use the new font starting today (the 9th). The 'ZEN SERIF' font was released to convey the beauty of Hangul to the world, embodying the traditional aesthetic sensibility and modern sense as part of Jennie and OA Entertainment's identity, making it even more meaningful as it coincides with Hangul Day (October 9). Previously, Jennie expressed her special love and pride for Korea through various activities, including promoting the charm of Korea to the world with songs 'ZEN' and 'Seoul City' from her first full album and serving as an honorary ambassador for Seoul tourism. 'ZEN SERIF' is a newly created font that sheds fixed images, incorporating flexible curves while minimizing decoration to enhance its essence, reflecting OA Entertainment's unique delicate artistry. It combines the Western traditional typeface Blackletter with Hangul, completing a new combination that no one has attempted before. By being the first entertainment agency to release a font and distribute it for free, OA Entertainment and Jennie continue to leave a fresh impression and heighten expectations for their future diverse activities.
