It was found that HYBE's Bang Si-hyuk is the person who holds the most stock assets among K-culture related stocks. On the 19th, according to the corporate analysis agency Korea CXO Research Institute, as of the 17th, there are a total of 27 individual shareholders whose stock valuation exceeds 10 billion won (about 940 million yen) in K-culture related stocks. The total stock valuation of these 27 individuals is 61.27 trillion won (about 5.753 billion yen), which is an increase of 1.276 trillion won (about 120 million yen, 2.1%) compared to early January's 59.994 trillion won (about 5.633 billion yen). The overwhelming first place is Bang Si-hyuk, whose stock valuation is reported to be 48.002 trillion won (about 4.507 billion yen). He holds 13,151,394 shares of HYBE. His stock valuation has increased by 249.8 billion won (about 23.455 million yen, 5.5%) over the last approximately 80 days. This is believed to be influenced by the rising stock prices due to expectations for the BTS concert on the 21st at Gwanghwamun in Seoul. The second richest in Korean culture and content stocks is Park Jin-young (major shareholder of JYP Entertainment), with a stock valuation of 362.7 billion won (about 38.482 billion yen). Following him is Yang Hyun-suk (major shareholder of YG Entertainment) in third place with 225 billion won (about 21.1267 million yen). The stock valuation of the seven BTS members is estimated to be around 20 billion won (about 1.8793 billion yen) as of the 17th. Since they were removed from the status of special related parties of HYBE's largest shareholder in September 2023, the disclosure obligations due to stock fluctuations have been eliminated. Assuming they continue to hold their existing stocks, the individual stock valuations are estimated to be 24.9 billion won (about 2.3802 billion yen) for V, SUGA, Jimin, and Jungkook, 22.9 billion won (about 2.1523 billion yen) for J-HOPE, 21.1 billion won (about 1.9812 billion yen) for RM, and 19.1 billion won (about 1.7934 billion yen) for Jin. Oh Il-sun, director of Korea CXO Research Institute, stated, 'With a large concert by BTS being held at Gwanghwamun on the 21st, expecting hundreds of thousands of attendees, and Director Chang Han-jun's movie surpassing 13 million viewers, interest in Korea's cultural and content fields is higher than ever.' He analyzed that 'compared to the high interest, the stock valuations of related listed companies remain at a low level overall, and a catalyst for upward movement is needed.' This survey targeted listed companies in Korea that produce or distribute culture and content such as movies, music, dramas, webtoons, and web novels, extracting individual shareholders whose stock value exceeds 10 billion won.
