It has become clear that all five lawyers who served as legal representatives for ADOR in the damage compensation lawsuit amounting to approximately 43.1 billion won (about 4.3 billion yen) against NewJeans' Daniel and former representative Min Hee-jin have resigned. Today (29th), according to the legal community, the five lawyers from Kim & Chang law firm, who were responsible for ADOR's legal representation, submitted their resignation letters to the court on the 24th. Prior to this, on the 26th of last month, both parties clashed over the speed of the trial during the first preparatory hearing held at the Seoul Central District Court's Civil Agreement Division 31 (Chief Judge Nam In-soo). ADOR expressed a desire to proceed with the trial after witnessing the outcome of the ongoing lawsuit regarding the put option between HIBE and former representative Min, requesting an extension of about two months. On the other hand, Daniel's side argued that ADOR was intentionally prolonging the lawsuit. Daniel's representative emphasized that the longer the lawsuit drags on, the more serious damage it would cause to his entertainment activities, demanding a swift trial. The court did not grant ADOR's request for an extension and confirmed the next hearing dates for May 14 and July 2, indicating an intention to expedite the proceedings. ADOR filed the damage compensation lawsuit against Daniel and others last December. With the resignation of all representatives, attention is focused on how ADOR will construct a new strategy moving forward.
