Weeekly spoke about their comeback after 1 year and 7 months, saying "We want to focus on growth rather than achievements!" Weeekly held a showcase for the release of their 5th mini album "ColoRise" at Blue Square Mastercard Hall in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul at 2 PM on the 1st, announcing their comeback after 1 year and 7 months. Weeekly, reorganized as a 6-member group, wants to show various sides to their fans by focusing on "growth". Weeekly's 5th mini album "ColoRise" is a new album that showcases the clear presence of the members who have hinted at their growth with various colors. This album is their first release in about 1 year and 7 months since their last album "Play Game: AWAKE" in March of last year. Lee Soojin, who returned after a long hiatus of 1 year and 7 months, said, "I'm happy and excited to make a comeback after a long time since our last album activities. I'm honored and happy to be able to participate in showcasing the new album together. We worked hard, so please look forward to it." The long hiatus also served as motivation for the Weeekly members. Monday added, "As the hiatus got longer, there were times when we felt powerless, but it turned into a strong desire and urgency for the stage. It seems to have motivated us to prepare this album with better quality." Meanwhile, there were changes within the group. In June of last year, member Shin Jiyoon left the group for health reasons, and the group was reorganized as a 6-member group. Park Soeun said, "We support each other's paths," and added, "There were things we learned through the member changes, and we were able to grow. The members are working hard so that fans don't feel disappointed by the vacant spot." During the hiatus, the members tried various activities. One of them was the cable channel Mnet's "QUEENDOM PUZZLE," which ended in August. It wasn't easy for them to challenge survival again since they had already debuted, but Lee Soojin, Park Soeun, Ji Han, and Zoa appeared and performed well. Ji Han said, "I was able to acquire new abilities with each competition, and one of them was the mindset towards the stage," and added, "Since it was a survival show, each stage was important. I wanted to show a good stage without losing my initial mindset when I debuted." The new album includes 6 songs of different genres, including the title track "VROOM VROOM," and it allows us to see a fresh image change that we haven't seen before. Park Soeun introduced, "'ColoRise' is filled with Weeekly's colors that will color the K-pop industry and make a leap forward. It includes more diverse genres than any other album, so please look forward to Weeekly's image change." Lee Jihye also revealed her determination to challenge various concepts, saying, "I think Weeekly is like a palette. I think we can express various colors with each member's individuality and charm." "VROOM VROOM" is a song that depicts a full-fledged start towards Weeekly's new color and leap. It contains a fantastical message of "inviting you to a world where all your dreams come true." It announces Weeekly's strong confidence in welcoming any color and expresses the infinite possibilities of Weeekly, who grow freely without limits. Park Soeun said, "There are still many colors we want to show. We want to show various genres in order to show various colors. We want to focus on growth rather than achievements." Weeekly, who has returned with new colors after a long hiatus of 1 year and 7 months. With expanded empathy and even softer music, they have announced a transformation different from their previous activities.
