PENTAGON's Wooseok will release his first single after independence. Today (24th) at 6 pm, Wooseok's new single "Empty Paper" was released through various music distribution sites. After transferring to a new agency, he released the work for the first time, including two songs "Navy Blue" and "Sketch," with the ambition to draw a new picture on a blank paper based on his own story. The title song "Navy Blue" is a song that compares his youthful days of struggling between longing and reality to a color, expressing a hopeful message unique to him, "The unseen tomorrow is dark, but the young me with a bluish color just before dawn was positive in any situation." The album's title track "Sketch" emphasizes the intention of "Empty Paper," expressing the complex aspects of wandering youth pursuing one's own strengths and interests, and the anxiety and worries about not being able to draw a complete self. In this single, he not only participated in songwriting and composition to clearly convey the message of the songs, but also worked with luxury producers to realize the grunge rock sound that was popular in the late 1980s and 1990s. Producer Siixk Jun, who worked on (G)I-DLE's "Uh-Oh" and "LIAR," and PENTAGON's "Promise," and Jeebanoff, who won the Best R&B Soul Song Award at the 14th Korean Popular Music Awards in 2017 for producing the album "so fed up," recognized for his musical abilities, participated in the album, further enhancing its completion. Wooseok will hold fan meetings in Osaka and Tokyo in March.
Kino of PENTAGON debuts his first solo EP "If this is love, I want a refund" displaying his skills as an "all-round artist". The album features various love emotions expressed boldly and wittily, breaking free from typical love songs. Kino previews performances to build anticipation for his comeback.
