ASTRO's Yoon San-ha held his first solo fan concert '2024 YOON SAN-HA FANCON [Dusk Till Dawn] in Japan' from September 14 to 15 at NHK Osaka Hall and from 17 to 18 at Omiya Sonic City Large Hall, totaling four performances. He passionately sang all songs from his first solo mini-album 'DUSK', released in Korea on August 6, along with covers of new and old J-POP songs and ASTRO tracks, totaling ten songs accompanied by a live band. In the talk segment, he answered fan questions about the 'past, present, and future'. He is the youngest member of the popular K-POP group ASTRO, where each member is active not only in music but also in acting and solo activities. In 2024, he will star in the musical 'Crash Landing on You' in Japan in February and July, and he is currently appearing in the JTBC drama 'A House Full of Love', which aired in Korea until September 15. Musically, he successfully held a small theater concert 'YOON SAN-HA SANiGHT Project #1 - Wish' in Japan and Korea in March, and released his first solo mini-album 'DUSK' on August 6, leading up to this first fan concert. At the Omiya performance on September 17, the fan concert opened with 'Kitsuneboshi', where he sat on a stool and enveloped the venue with his soft singing voice over the relaxed sounds of the live band. He introduced himself as 'Yoon San-ha, who has made his solo debut', exciting the audience, and explained that he wrote the song included in 'DUSK' to convey warmth through his voice and sound. In the first corner of the fan meeting part, 'RETRO TO MZ', he introduced ranked J-POP classics from the retro generation before 2010 and the MZ generation after, based on song recommendations from fans. The third place in this segment was HY's '366 Days', which he said he could hear for the first time thanks to this project. He sang only the chorus of SMAP's 'Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana', ranking second, and reminisced happily, recalling that he had sung it at an ASTRO fan meeting before. The first place went to GRe4N BOYZ's 'Kiseki', which he performed in full chorus. He also danced to the chorus of YOASOBI's 'Idol', which ranked third in the MZ category, eliciting cheers of 'cute!' from the audience. He sang the chorus of Mrs. GREEN APPLE's 'Ao to Natsu', ranking second, showing that he would have listened to it all summer if he had known it before summer. He enthusiastically sang the first place song, Vaundy's 'Kaiju no Hanabuta', using his whole body, and expressed, 'My heart is racing', smiling as he said, 'Thanks to you all, I could learn about wonderful songs. Even if the languages are different, the power of music is amazing. I hope my songs will someday be recommended by other artists too. Until that happens, I will keep working hard!' In the 'Dusk or Dawn' corner, he answered fan questions about the 'past, present, and future'. In response to a question about a fifth-grade son who is hard to understand, he shared, 'I grasped the opportunity to become a singer in fifth grade. I was recognized for singing by the head of the music academy I went to learn guitar, and I was taught to sing for free. Then, a person from the agency came to the academy, and I auditioned, which led me to be here now. I am truly grateful to the head of the academy.' He advised, 'Please guide your son with a generous heart towards a wonderful path.' When asked how he worked hard for his dreams at 16, he exclaimed, '16 years old, how young!' and shared, 'My father's dream was to be a singer. I grew up watching my father play guitar, and my brothers also played guitar and composed music, so music was close to me, and I dreamed of being a singer. When I faced difficulties as a trainee, thinking of my family helped me endure. I still want to keep running more and more. At 16, you have plenty of time, so don't rush, and if you live happily and work hard, you will surely find what you love.' Next, when asked about the future in ten years, he said, 'I can't imagine being 35! But I would be happy to meet AROHA (the name for ASTRO fans) in a large concert venue.' After receiving a big applause, he asked the fans, 'What do you think I will be like at 35?' to which they responded with 'cute!' and he showed a satisfied expression. After the talk, he performed 'Losing My Mind', which he said was a song he absolutely wanted to include in his first solo album, showcasing his light high-tone voice. After changing into a dazzling sequined rider jacket, he transformed into a rock version of Yoon San-ha in the second half. He stirred the audience by asking, 'Are you excited?' and showcased his dynamic vocals with the distorted guitar sound in 'BLEEDING', and aggressively performed the title track 'Dive' with alternative rock. He expressed, 'It's been since 'SANiGHT' that I've performed with a band. 'SANiGHT' was a cover song, but this time I could show my own songs to AROHA, and I feel great! How about rock? If I get to release an album in Japan, I want to do it with a rock concept.' He captivated the audience with the groovy ensemble of 'BITTERSWEET MISTAKE', saying, 'I thought this song might not suit me as I like acoustic songs... but it was well-received, so it's a strange feeling. This song might be better live than in the recording. I'm happy to show it to AROHA.' He concluded the main part with the mature ballad 'Rain Down On Me'. Welcomed by a big 'Yoon San-ha call' during the encore, he created a bright mood with his solo song '24 Hours' from ASTRO's album 'Drive to the Starry Road', surprising fans by singing the last line in Japanese. He explained, 'I hurried to change because I heard your encore calls. I understand how it feels to wait for the artist to come out during encores when I go to concerts of Cha Eun-woo and other members.' He expressed, 'This is my first solo fan concert, but it's very strange to stand on this stage in front of so many fans. I wonder when I grew this much. I think this is all thanks to AROHA. I will come back having grown even more, so please stay healthy.' During the encore of '24 Hours', an event was held where fans displayed a slogan saying, 'We will forever light up the path that San-ha walks!' Seeing this, he said, 'AROHA is amazing. Among so many people on Earth, there are those who love and support me. The reason I receive so much love is... because I'm cute?' making the fans laugh with a cute pose, and declared, 'I will carry this grateful feeling and continue my activities.' He expressed, 'It's been seven years since this song was released, but thank you for still being by my side.' He sang ASTRO's 'Better with you', conveying his love to the fans, saying, 'San-ha is always by AROHA's side!' and concluded with, 'That was ASTRO's youngest member, San-ha!' as he left the stage. The fan concert, conveying San-ha's love for music, his personality, and his great love and gratitude for AROHA, will have its final on October 5-6 at Seoul Blue Square Mastercard Hall in Korea.
