Min Hee-jin, in response to questions about the current situation of NewJeans, criticized HYBE. She also revealed plans to produce a boy group. Today (the 4th), Min Hee-jin appeared on the YouTube channel "Genre Man Yoido" and had a talk with Jung Yong-jin. On this day, she stated about the conflict with HYBE, "It seems that the premise and content do not match; whether or not there was a violation of the contract is key. If the actual issue was tampering (contacting other agencies before the contract period ended), then it should have been raised before the press conference, but at that time, a strange frame of seizing management rights was imposed, and I was accused of breach of trust. In the end, it was not prosecuted. Since it was not prosecuted, they next raised the issue of tampering. But if that was a problem, why was it not raised earlier? I do not understand why they did not do it at that time. HYBE's series of actions have distorted the entire timeline, and they have organized a PR team to extract only the parts they want to talk about and disseminate them, resulting in an overwhelming number of one-sided articles, making it impossible to respond to each one. From my position, there are many frustrating things." She continued, "Which company would publicly announce that they would conduct an audit? They made me a witch. That’s why I had to hold a press conference. I couldn’t stand it and went to the brink of extreme choices. But I have no reason to die. I wonder what they want me to do." When asked if she feels sorry for NewJeans, Min Hee-jin replied, "HYBE should feel sorry for NewJeans." She continued, "Everyone will remember what happened on April 22, 2024. They accused us of being traitors. There were over 1,700 articles that came out at that time. After insulting us like that, when they suffer a disadvantage, protesting is their right and human rights." Furthermore, she stated, "Civil trials are not criminal trials. They are not about judging right and wrong, but about discussing damages. So why did they divide it into two and three? I think it’s very strange. In court, they said, 'If you come back, we will treat you well,' but why did they deliberately treat three people separately and speak as if they were bullying them?" When Jung Yong-jin asked, "Is that HYBE's response, or is it because the two and three have different thoughts?" Min Hee-jin replied, "There was no appeal, and it was issued on the same day." When it was explained that the two had discussed their return through the agency first, Min Hee-jin emphasized, "As far as I know, it was communicated with a time difference on the same day." When Jung Yong-jin said, "The two communicated their return through ADOR, while the three clarified through a law firm," Min Hee-jin responded, "No, there are articles saying they contacted ADOR. I don’t understand why they are trying to make it look like there is a rift while saying they need to consider the young ones. Even if the two expressed their intention to return first, I think I would have waited. It’s better to announce it all at once. That way, fans won’t be confused. So why create more confusion? If the three said they would come back, they should be accepted. Why doubt and question their true intentions?" She further stated, "From the members' perspective, even though they conveyed their intention to return to ADOR, I don’t understand why they are trying to make it look like there is a rift. Considering them, adults should speak with more consideration. It’s very disappointing and frustrating. Why has the situation worsened this much?" When Jung Yong-jin asked, "Do you think HYBE is largely responsible for this situation?" Min Hee-jin strongly stated, "From my position, I think it is 100% HYBE's responsibility." On this day, Min Hee-jin also revealed her future plans. She said, "I probably won’t create a girl group. I might do it later, but there are no immediate plans. If I do, it will be a boy group. After the boy group comes out, then there will be a girl group." Min Hee-jin stated, "I have ideas for new developments like that. I can see the parts that are lacking and vacant in this market, and I think if we fill those parts, there will be interesting responses."
