WEi has resumed activities with an emotional new song that contains a five-year story. Today (29th) in the afternoon, WEi held a showcase to commemorate the release of their 8th mini-album 'Wonderland' at the YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin District, Seoul, sharing their thoughts on the new album release. After about nine months since their 7th mini-album 'The Feelings' released in January, they made their comeback, stating, 'We are excited and very nervous. The choreography and songs are very good, and we want to show them on stage soon. All the members have worked hard, so we hope you look forward to it.' They prepared the album so that listeners can feel a fantastical mood with every song. Notably, for this comeback, Kim Jun-soo, who debuted as a member of ALPHA DRIVE ONE through Mnet's 'BOYS II PLANET', did not participate, while Kim Yo-han, who could not join the previous activities, returned, drawing attention. Kim Yo-han said, 'I felt a bit of time pressure while preparing for this album, but it was very fun to dance and sing with all the members again after a long time. We are ready, so I want to show it to our fans and many others as soon as possible.' He also commented, 'I feel very nervous to stand on stage after a long time, but starting today, WEi and Kim Yo-han will work even harder.' This new album 'Wonderland' is filled with heartfelt feelings for their fans, RUi (the nickname for WEi's fans). It expresses the sentiment that 'there is no anxiety or worry because we are together, and it is fun and happy because we are together' by likening it to Wonderland. Kim Dong-han said about the album, 'This album is about RUi, for RUi. I wanted to express my gratitude to the fans who always support us. It is a beautiful album filled with the thought of walking together in the future. I think once you listen to it, you will be hooked, so please listen to it.' The title track 'HOME' is a song that likens the presence that supports you during tough times to 'home', conveying a warm message of comfort and promise to fans. Member Chang De-hyun participated in all aspects of writing, composing, and arranging, showcasing his talent. Kim Dong-han revealed, 'When deciding on the title track, we did a blind test. Usually, the guide for songs that De-hyun worked on is known by Seok-hwa, but this time, since De-hyun was working with someone else, I didn't know this song was made by him. Still, everyone unanimously chose this song.' The title track was inspired by fans, and Chang De-hyun explained, 'I created this song by likening a reliable presence during tough times to home.' He added, 'I thought RUi's feelings have already permeated WEi. I reflected on the words I heard when facing fans and chose the theme of 'HOME'.' Regarding the listening points of the album, Kim Yo-han said, 'I wanted to express a dramatic flow of emotions. When you see our stage, the choreography and lyrics contain a dramatic story, so if you listen to it point by point, I think that will be the highlight.' When asked if he had talked to Kim Jun-soo during the album preparation process, Kang Seok-hwa replied, 'He saw the choreography and songs this time and said they were very nice and supported us a lot.' He also said, 'He told me he wanted you to listen to it a lot. We are supporting each other a lot.' Kim Yo-han mentioned, 'We are doing a lot of individual activities, but I think the fact that we can let people know about WEi through our individual activities has a positive impact. The reason our teamwork is so good is simply that we meet often. No matter what anyone says, we meet at least once a week.' Celebrating their 5th anniversary, they expressed, 'First of all, we want to convey our gratitude.
