BTS (Bulletproof Boy Scouts) has added another certification from the Japan Record Association. According to the Japan Record Association on the 28th, BTS's title track "Spring Day" from "WINGS Epilogue: You Never Walk Alone" surpassed 100 million streams in February this year and received platinum certification in the streaming category. This brings BTS's total number of songs certified platinum in the streaming category, including global mega-hit songs "Dynamite," "Butter," and "Permission to Dance," to 15. The Japan Record Association classifies cumulative streaming counts (streaming category) as gold (over 50 million streams), platinum (over 100 million streams), and diamond (over 500 million streams), and grants certification monthly. "Spring Day," released in 2017, is an alternative hip-hop number that combines the sensibility of Brit rock with electronic sounds. With its lyrical chorus captivating listeners, it has become a seasonal song that appears in music rankings every spring. It is so popular worldwide that it even topped the "Daily Digital Single Ranking" announced by Oricon Chart last year (December 12). On this day, the Japan Record Association also granted gold certification in the streaming category to "Black Swan," a track from BTS's 4th full album "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7" released in 2020. This song became BTS's 40th song to receive gold certification.
