
THE BOYZ announced a new departure in collaboration with singer and producer MC Mong. Today (15th), according to One Hundred, all members of THE BOYZ will continue their activities as singers under the same agency from mid-December. One Hundred is a company co-invested and established by MC Mong and P Arc Group's chairman Cha Ga-won. It also includes artists like SHINee's Taemin, VIVIZ, Lee Mujin, Ha Sungwoon from Wanna One, and talents Lee Seung-gi and Lee Seung-gun, and is the parent company of INB100, which includes EXO-CBX. THE BOYZ debuted in 2017 with their 1st album 'THE FIRST' and are set to end their 7-year exclusive contract with IST Entertainment in mid-December this year. They will not re-sign with IST Entertainment and will transfer to One Hundred. One Hundred officially announced their contract with THE BOYZ, stating, 'We were impressed by the members' desire to move together while discussing with them. We want to create a new chapter with THE BOYZ, who show the best teamwork.' They also mentioned they would spare no effort in supporting both group activities and individual talents. It is still unclear whether they can maintain their group name. If an agreement with IST Entertainment is not reached, they will have to operate under a different name. According to Newsen's report, One Hundred has applied for trademarks such as The Boys, The New Boyz, and TNBZ, keeping in mind the possibility of not reaching an agreement. THE BOYZ made a comeback on October 28 with their 9th mini-album '導火線' and have been active.
