NCT's Taeyong, who is currently serving in the military, has his recent situation revealed. On the 16th, the Republic of Korea Navy posted a squad photo of the 702nd Navy recruit class on their official SNS. Taeyong, wearing the navy's summer uniform, is seen making a respectful salute pose with a more dignified expression, catching attention. Also on the same day, a video titled "Would you like to open a letter from Marine Corps 702nd class?" was released through the Republic of Korea Navy's official YouTube channel. Trainees including Taeyong in the video conveyed messages about their current situation in the military and important family members. He enlisted in the navy on April 15th. Taeyong, who started his military life as the first member of the group, completed basic military training at the training center and will serve in the navy. His expected discharge date is December 14, 2025. Debuting as NCT in 2016, he has gained global popularity as a member of NCT U, NCT 127, and Super M, as well as popularity as a solo artist.
