The film 'Tonight, This Love Will Disappear', starring Choo Young-woo and Shin Si-a, has completed its preparation for release. The media premiere and press conference for the film were held on December 22 at the CGV in Yongsan I-Park Mall, Seoul. After the screening, a press conference was attended by director Kim Hae-young, Choo Young-woo, and Shin Si-a. The film, based on the novel of the same name, will be released in Korea on the 24th. It tells a fresh and poignant love story between a girl suffering from anterograde amnesia, who loses her memories each day when she sleeps, and an ordinary boy living a lethargic daily life. In the Japanese version, Naniwa Danshi's Michieda Shunsuke and Fukamoto Riko star, and it has also been a big hit in Korea. Choo Young-woo, who has become a popular young actor through dramas like 'Trauma Code' and 'The Shaman and the Star Weaver', and Shin Si-a, who has showcased her acting in various works like 'THE WITCH / The Witch: Part 2' and 'Breaking Fruit', display a refreshing and bittersweet youthful chemistry. On this day, director Kim Hae-young mentioned about the casting, saying, 'Although Choo Young-woo and Shin Si-a have not been active as actors for long, I know they are actors who are working hard to find their own colors, so I wanted to work with them.' He continued, 'Choo Young-woo's sense of rhythm and natural acting were the style I was looking for. At the same time, he is an actor who can express emptiness and loneliness. In fact, Choo Young-woo is very emotional. His way of speaking is gentle. I think he fits the role well, and I feel like he was the second director, helping me a lot.' Regarding Shin Si-a, he said, 'She is bright and pure. She has a smile that makes people feel good. She brightened the atmosphere on set,' and praised her for her bold performance in her previous work, saying, 'I thought that challenge was cool.' Choo Young-woo expressed, 'I am very nervous about my film debut,' and shared, 'Although I haven't been in the industry for long, it has been a dream to sit in a theater and watch a movie I starred in. I feel excited thinking it will come true.' He also revealed, 'When I first received the script, I was thrilled because I had enjoyed watching the Japanese film of the same name based on the original novel, and I felt a pleasant pressure.' He admitted, 'One concern I had was, 'Am I similar to the lead actor of the Japanese film? I don't think I resemble him too much.' I wondered if I looked sickly.' He shared that he weighed 88kg during filming but has since lost 14kg, now weighing 74kg, stating that he didn't lose weight during the two months of filming. He also mentioned, 'I had concerns about how to incorporate the freshness of high school students and the atmosphere of first love. I even asked passing high school students questions. I asked a high school student who was observing the filming, 'Do you have a girlfriend?'' which elicited laughter. Regarding his collaboration with Shin Si-a, he said, 'Shin Si-a is a wonderful actor, so she helped me a lot in terms of acting. Her always positive and bright energy was a great strength.' He added, 'She also took good care of food.' Shin Si-a responded, 'This is my first romantic film, and I felt nervous and excited, but Choo Young-woo led me well.' The Korean version of the film 'Tonight, This Love Will Disappear' is set to be released on December 24. Red Velvet's Joy will participate in a collaboration song for the film, remaking Yuna's popular track.
