ENHYPEN’s JAY and NI-KI will appear in a Yamanashi travel special, with TELASA offering missed episodes and exclusive original content.

It has been decided that the special program “ENHYPEN JAY & NI-KI Holiday Journey,” featuring ENHYPEN’s JAY and NI-KI, will be broadcast on Saturday, November 14. Furthermore, TELASA will fully tie in with the program and, after the terrestrial broadcast ends, plans to distribute missed-episode streaming as well as a large amount of original content. ENHYPEN was born from “I-LAND,” which aired from June to September 2020, and made its debut on November 30, 2020. In 2021, they also made their Japanese debut, and in 2023 they received the Japan Record Awards’ “Special International Music Award.” This August, their 8th mini album “THE SIN : BLISS” achieved No. 1 on the U.S. album chart “Billboard 200” in its first week, and they continue their global activities. While crossing the world and amid an extremely busy schedule, JAY and NI-KI made a short trip to Yamanashi Prefecture, which is full of rich nature and excellent gourmet food. The two are known for their outstanding chemistry and closeness. NI-KI, who moved from Japan to Korea at the young age of 13, was often looked after by JAY, who is fluent in Japanese, and because they communicated in Japanese, a strong bond was formed between them. There is also a heartwarming episode known in which, when they were still shortly after debut, JAY invited NI-KI, who was supposed to spend the Lunar New Year holiday alone in Korea, to his family home, where NI-KI was warmly welcomed by the whole family. In “ENHYPEN JAY & NI-KI Holiday Journey,” the two went on location in Yamanashi Prefecture during the best season, when the autumn breeze is pleasant, in order to make their “things they want to do in Japan” come true. While looking at the magnificent Mount Fuji, they experienced Japanese traditional culture and enjoyed local specialty gourmet food to the fullest. For this one day only, the program staff prepared a “special model course” so that they could forget about work and enjoy a special day full of a private feeling. The program closely follows their unadorned true selves and smiles. In the program, they thoroughly investigated in advance through a questionnaire what JAY and NI-KI wanted to do. In addition to touring scenic spots at the foot of Mount Fuji, eating their way through local specialties, and experiencing “Japanese culture,” which JAY said he had wanted to do in Japan, they also rode in a rickshaw and chose souvenirs for the ENHYPEN members, spending a fulfilling time. At the end, there are valuable images such as a relaxed two-person talk while having BBQ and a bonfire at a stylish villa. And in TELASA’s original content distributed after the broadcast ends, unreleased scenes and talk projects will be released all at once. In addition to the terrestrial broadcast, TELASA’s exclusive distribution content can also be enjoyed in abundance. ◆ JAY Comment It was my first time appearing on a Japanese program with just the two of us, so I was very excited. I have kept studying Japanese all along, and there have been more opportunities to be praised for my Japanese ability, so I’m glad I was able to make use of that in the program too (laughs). This time we were able to film in a place rich in nature, so I myself was able to stay natural, and I was very happy to be able to film with the feeling of being on a trip. It has been a very long time since ENHYPEN appeared on a Japanese program like this, so I would be happy if our fans could see NI-KI and me enjoying Japan and having fun activities, and look forward a lot to our future activities in Japan. ◆ NI-KI Comment When I heard that I would be able to go on location in Japan with JAY, I was very excited. I think it will be a program with a different atmosphere from programs in which all the members appear, so I think the fans will enjoy it too. I was really happy to have the opportunity to refresh myself in a way that felt like we were really traveling just the two of us, and since I had never been to Yamanashi Prefecture, it was a very good experience to learn even more about a wonderful side of Japan. I think this will be a location program that ENGENE in Japan has been waiting for.
