K-POP stars active globally will adorn the stage of the '2025 KGMA'. On the 3rd, the KGMA organizing committee announced the first lineup for the '2nd KOREA GRAND MUSIC AWARDS' (hereafter '2025 KGMA'), which will be held on November 14 and 15 at Incheon Inspire Arena, including BOYNEXTDOOR, Stray Kids, IVE, ATEEZ, KISS OF LIFE, and FIFTY FIFTY. BOYNEXTDOOR is an idol group representing the 5th generation boy groups, showcasing overwhelming presence through their 1st digital single 'IF I SAY, I LOVE YOU' released in January this year. They captivated fans with their recently released 2nd Japanese single 'BOYLIFE', achieving good results on the Oricon chart. Stray Kids, a global top star, set a record for K-POP artists with 7 consecutive number ones on the US Billboard 200. Their recently released 4th full album 'KARMA' recorded over 3 million sales within a week of its release, demonstrating exceptional power and presence. IVE dominated the music scene earlier this year with the title track 'REBEL HEART' from their 3rd mini-album 'IVE EMPATHY'. They also successfully transformed musically with the title track 'XOXZ' from their recently released 4th mini-album 'IVE SECRET'. Additionally, they made headlines by performing for two consecutive years at the world's largest global music festival, Lollapalooza, as the first K-POP girl group. ATEEZ proved their global popularity with two consecutive songs from their 12th mini-album 'GOLDEN HOUR: Part.3', 'Lemon Drop' and the same-titled song included in the limited edition 'In Your Fantasy Edition', ranking on Billboard's 'Hot 100'. KISS OF LIFE, following their beloved digital single 'Sticky' last year, continued their popularity this year with the new song 'Lips Hips Kiss', which topped the weekly Korean chart on QQ Music, China's largest music streaming site, thanks to their stylish performances. FIFTY FIFTY's title track 'Pookie' from their 3rd mini-album 'Day & Night', released in April this year, has been loved for a long time on music streaming charts. The five members, known for their charming voices and solid performances, are also active in variety shows. The second and third lineups of artists to shine at this award ceremony will be announced sequentially in the future. The '2025 KGMA' is expected to be a festive occasion where artists who have achieved meaningful results in various popular music genres, including K-POP, bands, and trot (Korean enka), loved greatly by fans in Korea and abroad over the year, come together. Irene from Red Velvet and NATTY from KISS OF LIFE will serve as MCs on the 14th and 15th, with actress Nam Ji-hyun also taking on the role for two consecutive days following last year.
