THE BOYZ's Sonu has been selected as the personality for season 4 of "Idol Radio." "Idol Radio" is a representative idol program broadcast on MBC Radio since 2018, with the best K-POP stars serving as personalities. Sonu will take over from BTOB's Eungwan in season 1, GOT7's Youngjae & DAY6's Young K, MONSTA X's Hyungwon & Jooheon in season 2, and ATEEZ's Hongjoong & Yunho in season 3, and lead season 4. Sonu expressed confidence in a pre-production meeting, saying, "I have done a live broadcast alone for about 4 hours," and expressed his determination to become a personality who can bring out the charm of each idol that fans want to see while working with a different idol guest each time. Along with the new personality of "Idol Radio," he is also scheduled to act as the MC for the Idol Radio Concert. On March 26, he will serve as the MC for the live "Idol Radio" at Yokohama K Arena, and will also showcase a glamorous performance as a member of THE BOYZ. "Idol Radio" successfully held concerts in Japan in October 2022 and April 2023, the first for a Korean radio program. In September 2023, it was held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, the largest performance venue in Korea, with over 20,000 spectators. "Idol Radio" season 4, which will communicate with K-POP fans around the world along with THE BOYZ's Sonu, will be broadcast live every Monday and Tuesday at 9 p.m. via MBC Radio's official YouTube channel "MHZ" from February 19. The radio will also be broadcast every Saturday at 12 a.m. through MBC FM4U (91.9MHz in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province).
