She also revealed that, to raise her motivation for dieting, she had set Sana’s photo as her smartphone wallpaper. Sana said, "Before my debut, my weight was quite high. I thought about quitting as a trainee and going back to Japan. Since I didn’t know when I would come to Korea again, I thought, ‘I should eat whatever I want while I can,’ and for one week I kept eating all the things I liked, which made me gain 7 kg." She continued, "But I decided to stay at the company in that state. And then I ended up appearing on an audition program." She went on, "When I was on that program, I kept dieting as if I were appearing on a diet program. While promoting, without being told to by the company, I somehow started managing my own weight. I think it was because, as I kept looking at my own appearance, I naturally became aware of it."
