RIIZE talked about their impressions when they first heard the new song. RIIZE held a showcase for the release of their 1st mini album "RIIZING" at the Bluesquare Mastercard Hall in Seoul's Yongsan District on the 17th. They set the theme of all activities to "HUSTLE" related to the comeback of the 1st mini album from April, and released songs such as "Siren," "Impossible," "Honestly," "One Kiss," and "9 Days" in advance, starting a fan concert tour visiting 10 regions worldwide from May. The title track "Boom Boom Bass" is a pop dance number that depicts the excitement between young people expressing freely through bass and guitar performances. The album attracted attention as it summarizes the activities of the past two months and shows another leap. Wonbin said, "We incorporated a lot of our excitement to match the bass performance," and Sohi said, "Please look forward to RIIZE enjoying the stage more than anything else. There are many attractive parts, so please expect them." In response to questions about the performance, Eunsok explained, "The keyword for this performance is 'moderation beauty.' If we are usually free-spirited, this time, it is a performance that shows only RIIZE's compatibility." Shoutaro revealed a point of interest, saying, "There is a performance that goes forward by hitting the heart with hands like the sound of the bass ringing." A unique story was completed with the sounds of the guitar and bass. Songchan revealed, "When I first heard the demo of 'Boom Boom Bass' at the end of last year, everyone's reaction was 'this is it.' I thought it was a fateful song." Anton said, "One of the points is the energetic atmosphere. We also consciously put energy into it when recording. I have a memory of recording happily with the members in the recording room. There is a part where everyone sings together in the outro, but that part was interesting because it has a meaning like the 'RIIZE BRIIZE RISE' cheer we do at fan concerts." Anton then said, "My father is a bassist, so I heard and saw a lot of (bass) when I was young. I personally like the unique parts of pop basslines, but when I heard this song, I thought the bassline was unique and wanted to show it to my father. I think it's his favorite song in RIIZE's songs." He also expressed his gratitude to Byung Wusok, whom he mentioned as his favorite, saying, "I met him at an awards ceremony, and he always says good words wherever he goes. I used to swim too, but it was strange that Byung Wusok also swam because he was in 'Carry the Sonje.' I support him." Sohi revealed about the costumes this time, "Some members had shown themselves wearing cropped T-shirts before. It was my first time, so it was a bit burdensome, but I was relieved that fans liked it." He smiled when asked about the efforts he made before the comeback. RIIZE will hold a premier live event tonight at 8 p.m. to commemorate the release of their 1st mini album, and the event will be live-streamed through their official channels on YouTube, TikTok, and Weverse.
