Three underdog idol groups heated up the autumn night. The concert platform dreaming of the 'future', 'UCON (Underdogs' Concert)', took a meaningful first step on the 9th at the YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjang-dong, Seoul. Under the slogan 'Underdog Rebellion', the three groups WHIB, ALL(H)OURS, and TIOT gathered to present a hot stage for 160 minutes. All three are rookies with just over a year since their debut, but they proved their outstanding potential with amazing performance skills. WHIB brought refreshing charm, ALL(H)OURS showcased powerful weight, and TIOT displayed an all-rounder vibe, each energizing the venue with their distinct stage performances. The innovative structure that broke existing frameworks also caught the eye. Not only did each group perform separately, but members also formed new units, demonstrating special synergy. They formed vocal, rap, and performance units that could only be seen at 'UCON', fully showcasing their potential as artists. The MC time, divided into eight segments, entertained the audience with the members' excellent talk and variety sense. The stage's completeness was so wonderful that it was hard to believe it was titled 'Underdog'. The nine-part LED monitors harmonized with lighting and lasers, overwhelming the audience's gaze. Underneath, their earnest desire for further leaps since their dream debut was conveyed through even small movements. In the final stage, all 20 members took the stage to sing DAY6's 'To Become a Page', capping off a non-stop 2-hour and 40-minute finale. The leaders of the three groups expressed, 'I feel like we have grown further through this 'UCON' performance. I hope that all the members who created this unforgettable stage and our wonderful fans will remain in our hearts as a beautiful memory.' 'UCON' is a project that selects rookies with global potential and completes it through encounters with fans and live stages. It is based on 'STUDIO DELTA', founded by producer Park Hyun-ho, who directed music programs at MBC for 20 years, and has attracted attention as an opportunity to enjoy the stages of future global idol groups ahead of time.
BLACKPINK's Rosé achieved first place with her collaboration "APT." on MBC's music show, surpassing aespa and G-DRAGON. Other K-pop groups like NCT DREAM, ATEEZ, and ENHYPEN also made comebacks with new songs showcasing their unique styles and themes. The broadcast featured performances from various artists, highlighting the vibrant K-pop scene.
Three active idol groups, WHIB, TIOT, and ALL(H)OURS, are breaking traditional formats by forming a rap and dance unit. Their debut will occur at the 'UCON' concert in Seoul on October 9, featuring dynamic performances from their talented members. This project, led by producer Park Hyun-ho, aims to highlight global rookie potential.
TIOT is set to release their new digital single, 'Through the Long Tunnel of That Season,' on October 1 at 6 PM. The announcement includes a moody poster that piques curiosity about the song. This marks their comeback after six months since their debut album, 'Kick-START,' released in April.
