A fan of EXO's D.O. made a donation. The Korean Pediatric Cancer Foundation (Chairman: Lee Seong-hee) revealed that the D.O. fan club "D.O. Kyungsoo" celebrated D.O.'s birthday and donated 12 million won (about 1.2 million yen) in support of love for children with pediatric cancer and leukemia. "D.O. Kyungsoo," which has donated a total of 136 million won (about 10.36 million yen) over the past five years, always supports D.O.'s gentle influence, thinking about the health and happiness of those around him. The foundation has continued to share activities for five years, starting with the "Swing Kids" movie ticket sharing event in 2018, supporting local children's scholarships, disaster relief for flood victims, donations to the National Disaster Relief Association for the prevention of new coronavirus infections, and monthly regular donations to the Korean Pediatric Cancer Foundation, delivering happiness. D.O. has demonstrated his acting skills deepened in the movie "The Moon" and was nominated for Best Actor at the 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards. In the variety show "Where Soybeans Are Planted, Soybeans Grow, and Where Adzuki Beans Are Planted, Adzuki Beans Grow," he demonstrated the presence of the "golden youngest" and delivered enjoyable energy and healing to viewers, showing unique charm in various fields such as movies and variety shows. Also, D.O., who announced a busy year with the release of a solo album, the release of the movie "Secret" and consideration of appearing in the drama "Sculpture City," is gathering fans' expectations for what kind of flight he will show in 2024. The support money donated by "D.O. Kyungsoo" is planned to be used as medical expenses for children suffering from pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare diseases. The Korean Pediatric Cancer Foundation's surgery and hospital treatment cost support project supports patients diagnosed with pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare diseases under the age of 19 and under the age of 25 with a minimum of 5 million won (about 500,000 yen) and a maximum of 30 million won (about 3 million yen), and is used for surgery costs, hospital treatment costs, transplant costs, rare drug purchase costs, and hospital auxiliary equipment support. Hong Seung-yoon, director of the Korean Pediatric Cancer Foundation, conveyed, "We support D.O.'s future activities, not only as a singer and actor, but also in variety shows."
