TWICE's Nayeon, Momo, and Tzuyu participated in a warm sharing for a world where we live together. Their agency, JYP Entertainment, has been implementing the social content "JYP 4 EARTH" as part of its ESG management since 2023. This event is a campaign where JYP artists participate in various activities to improve the Earth and convey a positive attitude for a sustainable society. Last year, 2PM's JUN. K, Nickhun, Wooyoung, and ITZY participated, and this year, TWICE's Nayeon, Momo, and Tzuyu joined. Two videos titled "A World Where Diversity is Respected" were released on the JYP official YouTube channel on July 31 and August 7, where the three participated in the JYP's representative CSR project "EDM (Every Dream Matters! : Every dream in the world is important)" and engaged in the production of picture books for children overseas that has been ongoing since 2022. The books contain stories of characters with different disabilities living together, creating an opportunity to reflect on the value of respect and consider a world where everyone lives in harmony. Nayeon, Momo, and Tzuyu met with Lee Hyun-jung, the representative of the picture book production company Books International, to discuss the emotional role of picture books, the countries receiving the books, and the reasons for creating them in children's native languages. They conveyed messages of support to children while reading the books and participated in the production of Tagalog picture books for children in the Philippines, completing a unique book with heartfelt handmade decorations and illustrations. The three members not only focused on book creation but also researched the characteristics of the four types of disabilities represented by the protagonists—intellectual disabilities, hearing impairments, developmental disabilities, and visual impairments—under the guidance of Yoo In-sung, team leader of the Disability Rights Research Institute, expanding their understanding of various communication methods using assistive devices. They pointed out that expressions like "whole-body disability," "system disability," and "choice disability" can instill negative perceptions of disabilities in everyday language use, emphasizing the importance of language. Concluding their activities, the three expressed their feelings: "We are happy to provide emotional support to children with the books we created. We must understand the fact that we, with our different characteristics, live together in society. I believe that if hearts of understanding and consideration come together, a warmer world can be created. I felt it is important to love and cherish ourselves, who are one of a kind in the world." TWICE is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, engaging in diverse activities and capturing the hearts of fans worldwide.
