SEVENTEEN’s Dokyeom will enlist today (the 8th). His agency, Pledis Entertainment, announced in July that Dokyeom would enlist as an active-duty Army soldier on September 8. They said, “Since the enlistment ceremony at the training center and the workplace for alternative service are places where many soldiers and family members are present, we ask that you refrain from visiting the site.” They also revealed what will happen going forward, saying, “After his service begins, he will not be able to participate in SEVENTEEN’s activities, but he plans to continue meeting fans through various contents prepared in advance. We would appreciate it if you would send your messages of support to Weverse.” Since his debut, Dokyeom has captivated fans with his overwhelming vocals. In addition to the group’s activities, he has also been active in the three-member unit BSS with Seungkwan and Hoshi, and in the unit DxS with Seungkwan. This year, he successfully completed DxS’s first Japan performances and live tour. SEVENTEEN is currently in military service, with Wonwoo serving as a social service worker, and Woozi and Hoshi serving as active-duty Army soldiers.
