KGMA announced solo, band, and trot performers for its November awards show in Seoul, including Dayoung, Minho, Young K, Yuna, and more.

Solo artists, bands, and trot singers active on the world stage will stand on the stage of the “KOREA GRAND MUSIC AWARDS.” On the 7th, the KGMA organizing committee announced Dayoung of WJSN, Minho of SHINee, Young K of DAY6, Yuna of ITZY, Choi Yena from IZ*ONE, LUCY, TOUCHED, Novelbright, Park Ji-hyun, and Jang Minho as the lineup for the solo and band & trot categories of the “3rd KOREA GRAND MUSIC AWARDS” (“2026 KGMA”), which will be held on November 7 and 8 at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro District, Seoul. Dayoung has continued her solo activities this year following the long-running hit of her solo debut song “body,” released last year, by releasing “What’s a girl to do” and “FLIRTY.” Not only her addictive sound and energetic performances, but also because she has actively participated in the overall album, she is expected to once again present a stage full of individuality. Minho is a versatile entertainer who is carrying out vigorous activities in music, acting, and variety shows, using his healthy charm, toned body, and extraordinary passion as weapons. As a solo artist as well, he is showing a diverse musical color and expanding the scope of his activities. At 6 p.m. on the 7th, he is making a comeback with his 2nd mini album “Make It Hot.” Attention is focused on what kind of stage he will present at “2026 KGMA.” Young K is showing presence not only in band activities but also as a solo artist and entertainer. Following the strong impression left by the title track “Shut the Door” from his 2nd full album “Youngest,” released in July, he recently toured six overseas cities through his solo tour that started in Incheon. After finishing the tour, Young K will meet Korean fans again at “2026 KGMA.” Yuna released her first solo album “Ice Cream” in March this year and demonstrated her musical ability. She also broadened her range of activities by showing stable acting skills in the dramas “Miss Hong Is Undercover Investigation” and “My Favorite Employee.” Yuna, who has captivated the stage with outstanding visuals and performance, is also drawing attention for the stage she will show at “2026 KGMA.” Choi Yena achieved strong results since her debut with the title track “Catch Catch” from her 5th mini album “LOVE CATCHER,” released in March this year. Three months after release, “Catch Catch” recorded about 5.78 million monthly listeners on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, achieving the highest record among 4th-generation solo singers. LUCY is a four-member band that puts forward refreshing sensibility and powerful band sound. This April, with their 2nd full album “Childish,” they achieved their best-ever first-week sales record, and in their fifth year since debut, they continued steady growth by holding a concert at KSPO Dome. TOUCHED is a four-member band whose skill has been recognized by winning the grand prize at the 2020 Yoo Jae-ha Music Contest and winning “GREAT SEOUL INVASION” in 2022. They are drawing attention with intense live performances and music containing delicate sensibility, and with their first full album scheduled for release in October, they will participate in the stage of “2026 KGMA.” Novelbright is a Japanese band that has produced hits such as “Walking with you,” “Tsukimisou,” and “Ai toka Koi toka.” They are loved for presenting pop rock with intuitive melodies and rich emotion. Vocalist Yudai Takenaka also participated in MBN’s “Korea-Japan King of Singers Battle,” becoming known in Korea as well. Park Ji-hyun, who came from “Seon (2nd place)” on TV Chosun’s “Mr. Trot 2,” earned the nickname “the prince of trot” with his refreshing singing ability and excellent stage manners. This February, he released his first full album “MASTER VOICE” and promoted with the title track “Mu.” Park Ji-hyun, who is currently expanding his range of activities while conducting a nationwide tour of “SHOWMANSHIP 2,” will meet K-pop fans through “2026 KGMA.” Jang Minho is the “gentleman of trot” who has continued to show presence through steady activities after making the TOP 7 of “Mr. Trot 1.” Loved for his dignified tone, solid singing ability, and refined stage manners, he will appear at “2026 KGMA” following “2025 KGMA” as well. He is scheduled to meet K-pop fans around the world with the stage control of a veteran singer. In the first lineup previously announced, RIIZE, AHOF, AND2BLE, ATEEZ, ALLDAY PROJECT, CRAVITY, CLOSE YOUR EYES, KiiiKiii, TREASURE, and Hearts2Hearts were named. The KGMA organizing committee plans to sequentially reveal the third and fourth lineups of artists participating in the awards ceremony. “2026 KGMA” will be held as a festival in which artists from various fields of popular music, such as K-pop, bands, and trot, loved by fans in Korea and abroad throughout the year, participate. On the first day, November 7, Wonhee of RESCENE and actress Nam Ji-hyun will serve as MCs, and on the second day, November 8, IVE’s Liz and actor Kim Jae-won will serve as MCs.
