Amid the expanding 'Injection Auntie' incident surrounding comedian Park Na-rae, the police have also begun investigating the allegations of IV treatment in Jeong Hyun-moo's car. The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced today (23rd) that they have started the investigation based on a petition received through the National Assembly's whistleblower. The petition requested confirmation of the medical personnel involved in the IV injection Jeong Hyun-moo allegedly received in his car. The whistleblower referred to a statement made by Kian84 during the 2019 'MBC Entertainment Awards' that 'Park Na-rae went for an IV drip twice during filming, and Jeong Hyun-moo was also filmed receiving an IV drip.' They emphasized the need for investigation based on the fact that Jeong Hyun-moo's name was included in the social media follow list of the person referred to as 'Injection Auntie.' Recently, several celebrities, including Park Na-rae, SHINee's Key, and Ipchal Bunhenim, have been embroiled in illegal medical treatment scandals, bringing renewed attention to a scene from the 2016 MBC show 'I Live Alone.' In the show, a subtitle read, 'Hyun-moo, are you getting an IV drip?' while showing him receiving treatment in his car. Jeong Hyun-moo's agency, SM C&C, stated on the 19th that 'Jeong Hyun-moo was not feeling well at the time and received treatment from his doctor at the hospital. Due to insufficient time before the filming schedule, part of the process was exposed on air under the doctor's judgment.' They clarified that all medical procedures, except for the finalization of treatment, were conducted according to the medical team's judgment and prescription within the hospital, denying any illegal treatment or personal summons of medical personnel.
