Yoshio Ohira of JO1 announced that he will end group activities. Today (27th), LAPONE Entertainment announced through their official site the end of Yoshio Ohira's exclusive management contract and his activities as JO1. LAPONE clarified, 'During the hiatus, he made a request regarding future activities, and after discussions with our company, we reached this conclusion.' Additionally, a comment from Yoshio Ohira was released, stating, 'For about six months, I have deeply considered my future life and have had discussions with the agency.' He apologized, saying, 'I deeply regret causing great inconvenience to JAM (JO1's fans). I also sincerely apologize for the trouble caused to the members, agency staff, and related parties.' Yoshio Ohira had previously paused activities due to a scandal involving allegations of double dating reported last October, which was found to violate agency regulations. Thank you for your warm support for JO1. We report that Yoshio Ohira will end his exclusive management contract with LAPONE Entertainment on May 31, 2026, and will conclude his activities as JO1. During the hiatus, he made a request regarding future activities, and after discussions with our company, we reached this conclusion.
