Sooyoung from Girls' Generation spoke about her feelings on her solo debut in Japan. She conveyed through her official SNS yesterday (30th), 'It has been 22 years since I first came to Japan and started activities at the age of 12, and now I have released my 1st solo single 'Unstoppable'. I have become tired of worrying if this is okay even while holding the album.' She also said, 'Although I debuted with a strong ambition with 'Unstoppable', I feel embarrassed to think that I want to stop right now. I think I have always stood in front of everyone in an incomplete state since I passed the audition at 12 and debuted. I feel like everyone has watched my growth like a Tamagotchi.' She continued, 'I believe that 34-year-old Sooyoung has become someone who can give trust to everyone unless something extraordinary happens. After about 20 years, I feel like I know how to be considerate and what to do in any situation. Now that I can pretend to be a professional without anyone noticing, it was painful to dare to take on a new challenge again. It felt like I was pushed into a situation where there was really no room for mental victory (comforting myself). It was that scary, but I was truly happy.' She added, 'My goal this year was to be so foolish that my future self would kick the futon (feel embarrassed about the past). I want to be told that I will walk on a steep path again next year. I sincerely thank everyone who walked this steep path with me in this album, with both hands together.' Sooyoung debuted in 2002 as a member of a group born through a Japanese variety show. After going through an audition at SM Entertainment, she debuted as a member of Girls' Generation in 2007. After her contract ended, she moved to SARAM Entertainment and has been actively working as a solo singer and actress. Yesterday (30th), she released her debut single 'Unstoppable' in Japan. To commemorate this, she successfully held a solo debut showcase at Ebisu Garden Hall in Tokyo on the 26th of the same month. On this day, Sooyoung opened the showcase with Girls' Generation's 'MR.TAXI'. She then performed hit songs from Girls' Generation such as 'GENIE' and 'BAD GIRL', energizing the atmosphere of the venue. This debut single is an album that incorporates Sooyoung's identity. She participated in the lyrics and produced the entire album, embedding many challenges, difficulties, and successes she has experienced into the songs to enhance the album's completeness.
