BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) spoke about their enthusiasm before the world tour. Today (the 9th) and on the 11th-12th, they will open the curtain on 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'' at the main stadium of Goyang Comprehensive Sports Complex. This world tour will start in Goyang and will be held in a total of 85 performances across 35 cities worldwide, including Tokyo, North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. This is the largest number of performances for a single tour by a Korean artist in history. Additional performances in Japan and the Middle East are also planned, indicating that the scale of the tour is expected to expand further. During this performance, fans will enjoy songs from the new album 'ARIRANG' as well as many beloved hit songs. There is also high anticipation for the overwhelming performances that will unfold on a 360-degree stage. -- It has been a while since we started a tour, how do you feel now? RM: I still can't quite grasp it. I feel like I will suddenly find myself on stage. The preparation process was not easy because of the 360-degree performance, but once it starts, I think it will be really fun. More than anything, I am excited to hold the microphone again and meet ARMY (BTS fans) from all over the world. Jin: We have always said that the most important thing for a singer is the concert. I want to meet audiences around the world as soon as possible, and since this is a world tour after a long time, I want to directly feel the culture and atmosphere of each region. SUGA: Since childhood, I have thought that concerts are the most important for a singer, and that feeling has not changed. All the members are really looking forward to this world tour. I hope there will be a lot of interest and expectations. J-HOPE: World tours are always fun and happy. Since it is a festival to enjoy with ARMY around the world, we are excitedly preparing for this one too. Jimin: We have done many performances so far, but this time I want to show a stage that is completely different from before. Of course, it is a big challenge, but I would be happy if you have high expectations. V: Since it has been a while since the tour, I was worried that I might forget the feeling, so I prepared much harder than usual. I want you to have high expectations and I want to show everything we have prepared. Jungkook: I want to stand on stage soon. I am really looking forward to it, and my heart races at the thought of meeting the audience directly after such a long time. I want to enjoy it together at the venue as much as we have prepared. -- What are the highlights of this tour? RM: The moment we jump around on stage together is what I am looking forward to the most. I hope the whole venue feels like one huge club. I will be really happy if that scene actually unfolds. Jin: With the 360-degree stage, we will utilize all directions as if they are the front. I think this is a method we are trying for the first time since the fan meeting in 2019. The stage will rotate, and we will rotate too, so I think you will feel a different kind of fun (laughs). SUGA: The moment we face the audience for the first time is what I am looking forward to the most. Since the performance is filled with showy productions, I think you will feel plenty of visual enjoyment. J-HOPE: Since it is a 360-degree stage, the atmosphere felt for each song should be different. I think that is the biggest highlight of this time. In terms of production, it will feel like watching a show, and I think the production that expresses Korea will be interesting. Jimin: The moment I meet ARMY, who have been waiting for a long time, is what I am most looking forward to. Until now, many stages have focused heavily on performance, making it difficult to try diverse productions. However, this time, we have put more effort into the production so that the audience can enjoy it visually as well. V: I think the singing, setlist, production, and composition are really solid. I can confidently say that this is a performance we can proudly show. Jungkook: Since it is a 360-degree performance, I have some worries. I am anxious about what will happen if I make a mistake, but on the other hand, I think it will be more fun and special because we can interact with the audience in all directions. There will be many highlights in this performance, so please look forward to it.
