Choi Sun-young, the mother of Lee Chaeyeon, formerly of IZ*ONE, and ITZY’s Chaeryeong, has personally confessed that she is battling cancer, and the real reason Chaeryeong cried at a recent fan meeting has been revealed. Choi Sun-young recently shared an update on her social media, writing, “I thought I should eat well, and I feel like I ate all kinds of meat in one week.” She further revealed the fact that she had been diagnosed with cancer, saying, “I have become a cancer patient certified by the country. I’m going to the hospital next week, but I wonder what kind of treatment I will have to undergo... In the meantime, I decided to take good care of my health. I will try to laugh more and spend my time with a positive mindset. I am grateful every day.” In June as well, Choi Sun-young shared her feelings before surgery, saying, “I took a walk around Hannam-dong to calm my confused feelings.
