ILLIT’s “I Got Your Back (Feat. JISOO, MOMOKA of HANA) (Korean Ver.)” was released today (the 17th) at 0:00. “I Got Your Back (Feat. JISOO, MOMOKA of HANA)” is the title track of the same-named Japanese second single, “I Got Your Back,” which ILLIT released in July. Prior to this, the song was used as the opening song for ABEMA’s original drama “The Rules of Vacation” and drew attention, and it has been enjoying hot popularity, recording its own highest rank of No. 2 on Billboard JAPAN’s comprehensive song chart “Hot 100.” ILLIT has performed this song on various stages such as Japanese music programs and festivals, solidifying its position as the “K-POP girl group currently drawing attention.” Even in the Korean version, ILLIT’s bright and refreshing charm is packed in. This song is a rock genre marked by sophisticated guitar riffs and dynamic drums and bass sounds, and the five members bring vitality to the song with refreshing and energetic vocals. The point dance, in which they point their fingers and point to their heads in time with the addictive rhythm, contains the powerful message, “Do not forget that I am always by your side.” JISOO and MOMOKA, members of the popular Japanese girl group HANA, participated as featured artists in the Korean version as well, following the original song. The two also took part in writing the rap parts they were in charge of, putting their sincere feelings into the work. The special synergy created by girl groups representing Korea and Japan is crossing borders and calling forth deep empathy from young people of the same generation. The special video released together with the audio is full of playfulness, as if it were an animation. The direction, with added kitschy graphic elements, further highlights the song’s lighthearted atmosphere and gentle lyrics, attracting both the eyes and ears at the same time. ILLIT said, “’I Got Your Back (Feat. JISOO, MOMOKA of HANA)’ is a song that contains our honest thoughts and feelings as they are, so we tried to make sure that our sincere feelings were conveyed clearly to those who listen. We want people to pay attention to the lyrics that encourage, ‘You are not alone.’” They added, “Even if it is the same song, singing it in Korean has a different charm. We want you to definitely feel ILLIT’s powerful rock sound.” ILLIT will hold “ILLIT LIVE 'PRESS START♥︎' in HONG KONG” at AsiaWorld-Expo Hall 10 in Hong Kong on the 22nd and 23rd of this month, and plans to spend time with fans coming from all over the world. This tour, which continues to Hong Kong after Seoul and five cities in Japan, sold out all performances early, proving ILLIT’s overwhelming ticket power. In response to fans’ cheers, ILLIT decided to hold encore performances, and shows are scheduled to be held in Incheon in October and Chiba in December.
