MONSTA X promised unity and leap beyond connections, opening the splendid curtain of their world tour. On the 1st, MONSTA X held the "2026 MONSTA X WORLD TOUR 'THE X: NEXUS'" at KSPO DOME in Songpa, Seoul. It was about 6 months since their last performance at KSPO DOME during "2025 MONSTA X CONNECT X" held last July. Especially, it has been 4 years since their world tour "2022 MONSTA X 'NO LIMIT' TOUR IN SEOUL". They confirmed tours in Asia and Latin America, starting their full-fledged activities with the Seoul performance. The title of this world tour, "NEXUS," means "connection" or "combination," and while it connects narratively to the "CONNECT X" they presented at their 10th-anniversary concert, it shows an evolved meaning. While last year strongly emphasized "reunion," "NEXUS" symbolizes a "new leap" based on the strengthened "unity" through those encounters, moving to the next chapter. Especially since they have crossed the milestone year of "10" and are now welcoming their 11th anniversary, it is noteworthy that MONSTA X is not staying in past glories but is a starting point for moving towards a new worldview and musical spectrum. If last year's 10th-anniversary concert showed MONSTA X's "history," this world tour focuses on showcasing the ongoing music of MONSTA X, including new solo stages from the members. MONSTA X opened strongly with "DRAMARAMA," evoking their identity, and explained the current MONSTA X through the song "Catch Me Now" from "THE X." While there were representative hit songs like "Love Killa," "Rush Hour," "Beautiful," "Beautiful Liar," "Alligator," and "Shoot Out," many songs from their 13th mini-album released last year, such as "Do What I Want," "N the Front," and "Tuscan Leather," were included in the setlist, singing about MONSTA X's present as they look beyond their 10th anniversary. Additionally, songs that members participated in creating, like "LONE RANGER," "Burning Up," "Nobody Else," "Deny," "AND," and "Autobahn," impressed upon the audience that MONSTA X has surpassed being just "idols" to become "artists." Furthermore, the solo stages of members like "Around & Go" (Shonu), "Howling" (Kihyun), "No air" (Hyungwon), "Reaching" (Minhyuk), "error 404" (I.M), "STING," and "Touch the sky" (Jooheon) made it feel like each member is constantly expanding their own musical world without being confined to MONSTA X. What makes this performance even more special is that it was I.M's last stage before his military enlistment. I.M said, "Actually, my back isn't very good. I was told I could sit and perform without pushing myself, but since this is my last performance before going to the army, I couldn't do that. Honestly, after the first day, I thought, 'What should I do...?' but after trying on the second day and today, I managed to do it because I was standing in front of everyone. I think the power of love is amazing." He continued, "I took a break from activities for about two times in 2025. But in reality, I wasn't resting. I was constantly doing something, and the reason I could do that was the thought that 'this would make MONBEBE (MONSTA X's fans) happy.' I will stop my life with MONSTA X, which has lasted over 10 years, for a while and go." After that, I.M surprised everyone by shaving his head on stage. Through the "2026 MONSTA X WORLD TOUR 'THE X: NEXUS,'" MONSTA X declared their future as global artists. Attention is focused on their upcoming journey.
