Born in 1934 in Hambuk Hae-ryeong, he graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in philosophy and debuted in 1956 with the play 'Beyond the Horizon.' After becoming a first-generation actor at TBC in 1965, he thrived in dramas, films, theater, and variety shows.
