Although they debuted once in Korea, 12 K-POP boy groups (AIMERS, BeMAX, BXB, DIGNITY, DKB, DXMON, EASTSHINE, E'LAST, L5th, WAKER, WEUS, XODIAC) could not shine in the spotlight. They are now engaged in a serious competition for a formal Japanese debut in the reality survival show 'Re:Born'. The show has received enthusiastic responses not only from Japan and Korea but also from global fans. In the previous broadcast, #3, the results of the final selection battle for the top 5 groups were announced, confirming that AIMERS, DKB, DXMON, EASTSHINE, and E'LAST would advance to the next stage. In the upcoming #4 broadcast on the 18th, the five groups gathered to explore each other's preparations for the second mission. The song list for the J-POP mission was delivered to each team, revealing that the challenge songs would be YOASOBI's 'Idol', Masanori Ota's 'fake face dance music', BE:FIRST's 'Masterplan', SPYAIR's 'Samurai Heart', and I Don't Like Mondays' 'Sin City'. According to the rules, AIMERS, who ranked first in the first mission, could select songs in order of their ranking. DORYUN from AIMERS stated, 'We can choose songs preferentially. We can take the initiative and prevent other teams from taking songs we think they would choose.' SEUNGHYUN added, 'I don't think we need to take such risks. Let the other teams take the risks, and we can safely take our choices.' EUNJUN remarked, 'Then the song itself must be enjoyable.' Despite various opinions, they ultimately agreed on SPYAIR's 'Samurai Heart'. DKB, ranked second, chose YOASOBI's 'Idol'. DXMON, whose member HEE is a fan of YOASOBI, eagerly desired 'Idol', but TK argued, 'Just because you're a fan doesn't mean you should choose it. The moment I saw the list, I couldn't think of anything but 'Masterplan'.' SEITA pointed out, 'I also think 'Masterplan' is the right choice. But 'Idol' is the only song that has been performed at Coachella, so it's globally famous.' They expressed first choice as 'Idol' and second as 'Masterplan', but since DKB took 'Idol', they decided on BE:FIRST's 'Masterplan', which they had covered during their trainee days. E'LAST unanimously chose I Don't Like Mondays' 'Sin City', and EASTSHINE selected Masanori Ota's 'fake face dance music'. A few days after each team selected their J-POP songs for the second mission, all five teams gathered in the studio to determine the performance order. They would not know what songs the other teams had chosen until the day of the second mission, so each team began to probe each other. During this time, it was announced that they would decide the stage order through a traditional Korean game called 'Tassau' (chicken match), where they would lift one leg and try to knock each other down. Each team selected a 'Tassau master', creating a lively atmosphere. In the end, it came down to a showdown between DKB's JUNSEO, who was called 'the only Hulk', and EASTSHINE's LUMIN. LUMIN's balance proved effective, and EASTSHINE won the Tassau battle. They selected boxes with stage order numbers in the order they won, resulting in the second mission stage order being DKB first, EASTSHINE second, AIMERS third, DXMON fourth, and E'LAST fifth. However, at this point, judge Hyojin Choi appeared in the studio and announced a benefit competition, further heating up the venue. The benefit competition was to 'steal songs from other teams'. Each team was given 10 minutes of free time, during which they could cover the dance points of a song they wanted to steal from another team. The team that successfully covered the song would receive the benefit. DKB won the benefit, but the details were not revealed that day. On the day of the second mission, the final five groups appeared on stage in costumes matching their challenge songs. The performance judging would be conducted by five judges: Shin Yumi, Kim Teu, Hyojin Choi, Gyuri, and Nicole. KARA, the legendary artist who was the first Korean girl group to perform at Tokyo Dome, was asked by MC Jang Geun Suk, 'If you could give any advice to the participating teams, what would you say?' Nicole replied, 'I personally think it's very important to communicate with fans in Japanese. Even if you can't speak well, the effort will be conveyed.' Gyuri added, 'There are now many K-POP idols already active in the Japanese market. So, each team must have their unique characteristics and strengths. I want to see the team's weapons that can capture our hearts at this time.' After the five groups returned to the waiting room, Hyojin Choi made a surprise visit to DKB's waiting room. DKB was surprised by Hyojin Choi's sudden appearance, but they were overjoyed when he revealed he had come to inform them of the benefit they earned during the exploration battle. The benefit for DKB, who ended up in first place for determining the stage order, was 'to change the stage order'. DKB could swap their order with another team. E-CHAN remarked, 'That's cruel. It's too harsh,' but D1 said, 'It's survival,' and they discarded their sympathy and discussed it as a team to reach a conclusion. The next episode, #5, will air on October 25 (Friday) at 10 PM, showcasing the second mission. What team did DKB change their performance order with using the benefit? And will each team's practice results be showcased? Anticipation is high for the K-POP boy groups' J-POP performances.
