Chanbin of Stray Kids released a collaboration song with senior musician Kim Changwan. The two released a special song and music video for teenagers yesterday (5th). The song "Middle 2 (Respect for Everyone's Universe)" is a remake of the song "Middle 2" included in Kim Changwan Band's 3rd full album "Forgiveness" (2015). This collaboration was part of the "WE DREAM S24 HOURS" campaign to support the dreams of teenagers in conjunction with the sale of Samsung Galaxy S24. Chanbin, who has been loved as a nickname "Chutteja (person who values independence)" after mentioning "I want you to live your life with independence without being swayed by other people's words" in the past, conveyed through the collaboration song "Fly High" released last year, "I want teenagers to have their own thoughts and expand their dreams." The newly released "Middle 2 (Respect for Everyone's Universe)" maintains the dynamic and energetic rough rock sound of the original song by Kim Changwan Band, and adds a mysterious atmosphere with an arrangement including electronic beats. Kim Changwan's powerful voice and Chanbin's sharp rap and singing harmonize with the enchanting sound and contain addictiveness. In the music video released with the sound source, Kim Changwan appeared as the principal of the school. He begins his speech with the words "Do you want to open up a big universe in you? Then, make sure not to be confined by anyone's words." The two shouted together, "Let's go, to where we want to go. Let's do, what we want to do. Even if it's far and difficult, let's go to the world we desire, to where we desire," and unfolded a passionate stage with the students in their teens. Kim Changwan has emphasized the message "Live this moment now" through various interviews. He conveyed about this collaboration, "I hope that modern young people will open up their own universe without being judged by adults." Kim Changwan's music has been loved and remade by many artists, such as "Youth" sung by Kim Pil, "Your Meaning" by IU, and "Recollection" by Chang Bomjun. It is also loved as a standard song chosen by participants in audition programs, and is still popular as a theme song for many dramas, movies, and commercials. In 2023, Kim Changwan Band gave a great impression to all the audience as the last headliner of the "Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival." In the same year, they released a new album "I Am an Earthling" after 3 years and actively conducted a nationwide tour.
