Despite just releasing their 2nd single "Mmchk" in Korea on April 27, NEXZ suddenly revealed new work information. They will release their 3rd EP in Japan, titled "Hellmate," on June 24 (Wednesday). The title is a coined word combining "Hell" and "mate," which, while appearing a bit rebellious and mischievous, carries the meaning of walking together while understanding each other as friends. This work includes four tracks: the original Japanese songs "Hellmate," "Hands up, Yo!" and "Can't hide," as well as the Japanese version of the popular song "Mmchk" that gained attention in the Korean release. It seems to be a work packed with their charm that transcends genre boundaries with a diverse sound. There will be ten formats in total, including a limited first production edition A with video bonuses, a limited first production edition B with a 32-page booklet and ZINE, a regular edition, and seven types of NEX2Y editions available only to fan club members, along with various original benefits at each store for events where fans can meet the members. Details can be confirmed on the special site for the "Hellmate" release. Additionally, the jacket photo for the Japanese 3rd EP "Hellmate" has been released. The theme of this artwork is "Mischievous Youth Support Group." While presenting a mischievous image with pointed nails and wings, it expresses NEXZ's support for people in the world. This is a pure and playful expression of youth in the NEXZ style. There have been numerous SNS posts praising the members' new visuals, which have drastically changed from the previous work, with comments like, "I've been waiting for this visual!" and "Black hair suits them and looks cool!" In another artwork, they challenge a mature, dark, and cool visual, exuding a new charm different from the provocative and smart style of the past. The familiar character "FOX2Y" for NEX2Y (the fan name) also appears as "LITTLE DEVIL FOX2Y," and the details unique to this work are also captivating. With the package release of the 2nd single "Mmchk" in Japan set for May 15 (Friday), NEXZ continues with the release of the 3rd EP "Hellmate" on June 24 (Wednesday). They also have four performances scheduled for the "NEXZ LIVE TOUR 2026" on May 30 (Saturday) and 31 (Sunday) at the National Yoyogi Stadium First Gymnasium in Tokyo, and on June 12 (Friday) and 13 (Saturday) at Osaka Castle Hall, showing no signs of slowing down in their activities.
