Joy of Red Velvet revealed that she enjoyed a date with Rei of IVE. Recently, a video titled 'Knowing the Chemistry of Red Velvet JOY and IVE REI...♡ | FollowREI EP.92' was released on the YouTube channel 'Mane Shite Miru REI.' On this day, Joy spent time together with Rei, doing a body test as Rei's close friend and then going on a date. Joy reflected on their recent visit to a crane game store, saying, 'I thought it was a very healthy and pure time for me, but Rei seems to feel it is a deviation at times.' Joy shared, 'We recently went to a crane game store. Rei said, 'This is my first deviation.' I found it strange.' She added, 'I thought, 'Rei has been a trainee since childhood, so there are many things she hasn't experienced,' and I want to give her many experiences.' Rei has repeatedly expressed her fan feelings towards Joy. After confessing to Joy that she nurtured her idol dreams by watching Red Velvet, they have been spending time together as close friends.
