MONSTA X's youngest I.M enlisted today amidst the members' send-off. Today (9th), I.M entered the army training center and will receive unit assignment as an active-duty soldier after completing basic military training. I.M stated through his agency STARSHIP Entertainment, 'I was very happy to start the world tour recently and to be able to greet MONBEBE (the official fan club name) closely, and I am glad to have made good memories before enlistment.' He added, 'I will complete my military life healthily and return, so until we meet again, I hope MONBEBE takes care of both body and mind, and I would be happy if you continue to support the members' activities. I love MONBEBE.' I.M is the last member of MONSTA X to enlist. His enlistment will temporarily pause the group's full activities, but MONSTA X plans to continue interacting with fans through various activities, including the world tour. I.M debuted as part of MONSTA X in 2015 and has showcased his talents in songwriting, composing, producing, and MCing. He participated in writing and composing from the debut album, completing the group's unique musical color, and contributed to their successful global expansion with his fluent English. In 2021, he became the first in the group to start solo activities, building a different inner and fantastical musical perspective through his solo debut album 'DUALITY,' filled with self-composed songs. He achieved remarkable results, including topping the iTunes album charts in 18 countries and having all songs enter the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart. I.M has since expanded his musical spectrum across genres like hip-hop, R&B, and jazz. He successfully held his first solo world tour 'I.M WORLD TOUR 2024 Off The Beat,' performing in 18 cities across 10 countries in Europe, America, Canada, and Asia, proving his strong capabilities as a solo artist. While alternating between group and solo activities, I.M has solidified his status as an all-rounder artist, recently showcasing his unreleased solo song 'ERROR 404' at the '2026 MONSTA X WORLD TOUR 'THE X : NEXUS' Seoul performance, leaving a strong impression.
