SM Entertainment has exposed malicious users. SM Entertainment announced yesterday (21st) through their official channel that "recently, some users using X (formerly Twitter) accounts have been confirmed to be continuously and repeatedly posting malicious content against our artists, including the dissemination of false facts, defamation, sexual harassment, personal attacks, insults, and invasion of privacy," and stated that "we are proceeding with criminal complaints." They specifically released some nicknames and IDs of 11 X users who have continuously created malicious posts against aespa, RIIZE, and NCT WISH, and clarified that they have submitted a complaint to the investigative agency in cooperation with the law firm Sejong regarding the confirmed criminal acts. SM Entertainment warned that "starting with this complaint submission, we are currently considering malicious posts uploaded on various SNS platforms against other artists besides aespa, RIIZE, and NCT WISH, and are preparing criminal complaints together, with plans to continue expanding the targets of complaints." Additionally, they have secured a large amount of evidence against acts of generating and disseminating malicious rumors and false information related to their artists on platforms such as Dcinside, NAVER, Daum Cafe, NATE, Instiz, theqoo, MLBPARK, Fmkorea, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, and plan to continue strict legal actions through criminal complaints and civil claims.
