The brand "SHISEIDO," which operates in 90 countries and regions worldwide, has appointed BLACKPINK's Lisa as the new global ambassador for its iconic serum series "Ultimune." A pop-up event where attendees can experience the world view that combines Lisa and the product "Ultimune," which has provided unique value of "bringing out the skin's inherent beauty" since its release and has been supported by many, will be held at Yodobashi J6 Building starting March 6 (Friday). Prior to the public opening, an opening event commemorating the "ULTIMUNE with LISA POP UP EVENT" will take place on March 5. The event will feature various content allowing attendees to spend their time freely, themed around the values embodied by the serum "Ultimune" and Lisa, which is supported by people regardless of race, age, or gender. When the event begins, Lisa, who serves as the new global ambassador for SHISEIDO Ultimune, will appear. "I am honored and happy to be a part of the SHISEIDO family," she commented, celebrating the pop-up event. Other celebrities such as Yuto Sano, Hiroshi Iwase, and Akane Horita also appeared at the photo call, discussing "Ultimune" and the pop-up event, as well as skincare. After the photo call, a tape-cutting ceremony was held to commemorate the event announcement, with Kenta Fujihara, CEO of SHISEIDO, Echo Lo, Chief Brand Officer of SHISEIDO Global Brand Unit, and Lisa participating in the tape-cutting. -- The global brand ambassador for Ultimune is a hot topic; what do you think? Lisa: It's all thanks to the SHISEIDO family and our supporting fans. I am truly grateful. -- What is your favorite place in Japan and why do you want to visit it again? Lisa: I really love Japan. The food is delicious, and I really enjoy shopping. I also love skincare products, especially SHISEIDO products. -- Tell us about how you became a global brand ambassador and your feelings about it. Lisa: I have always been a fan of SHISEIDO. I have always incorporated Ultimune into my skincare routine. I use it every day, and I have loved it long before becoming the global ambassador. So when I was approached, I thought, "Absolutely!" I am honored and happy to be a part of the SHISEIDO family. Thank you for this opportunity. -- I hear there are many exclusive projects for fans at this pop-up. Lisa: Yes, there are many wonderful experiences and special gifts. There will also be a photo booth, so please come visit from March 6 to March 15! -- What did you think of this pop-up store? Yuto Sano: I saw the products collaborated with Lisa and the recreation of the places where Lisa was actually photographed. I haven't experienced many pop-ups like this, so it was very fresh and interesting. -- What do you think is the charm of Ultimune? Who do you think should use it? Yuto Sano: I actually used it before my morning makeup today, and I was genuinely surprised, no flattery. At first, I thought it felt smooth, but even though it was smooth, it felt like it penetrated deeply into my skin. I often worry about how makeup goes on depending on the day, but today the makeup artist said it was really good. Since it seems to suit various skin types, I hope those with skin concerns will give it a try. -- Do you feel there are moments when "basic strength" is important in your life and work? Yuto Sano: I want to value my lifestyle habits like sleep and diet to enhance my physical strength. -- Tell us something you do or keep in mind every day. Yuto Sano: The one thing I think about every day is M!LK. I never have a day where I don't think about the group. No matter what I'm doing, I think about what I want to tell the members or what would make the fans happy. -- Share a moment when you feel you are taking care of yourself. Yuto Sano: I think it's important to push myself, so I might not have a moment like that right now, but I also want to make my future self happy, so I am working hard now, even if it means pushing my body. -- Has your perspective on skincare changed as you age? Yuto Sano: I wasn't someone who didn't do skincare, but as I age, I think about the future and want to use products like this. -- What did you think of this pop-up store? Hiroshi Iwase: The venue had a very chic impression. There were places to enjoy seven activities, which was very valuable and fun. -- What do you think is the charm of Ultimune? Who do you think should use it? Hiroshi Iwase: I think it would suit people looking for a new power-up in their daily skincare. After using it, I felt my skin had elasticity and moisture, so it left a special impression on me. -- Do you feel there are moments when "basic strength" is important in your life and work? Hiroshi Iwase: I value my body the most, and to enhance it, I have a routine where I take a cold shower before work. It improves my circulation, wakes me up, and motivates me. So, I think I will use Ultimune along with cold showers to power up even more. -- Tell us something you do or keep in mind every day. Hiroshi Iwase: I've been taking cold showers for three years, but recently I've started stretching before bed. Whether I stretch or not affects how tired I feel when I wake up. When I have work every day, I realize the importance of stretching for the next day's work. -- Share a moment when you feel you are taking care of yourself. Hiroshi Iwase: When I soak in the bath. I usually take showers and quickly finish after coming home from work, but when a project ends or after two weeks of continuous work, I soak in the bath with bath essence or scents, and it temporarily relieves my stress. At those times, I feel like I'm taking care of myself. -- Has your perspective on skincare changed as you age? Hiroshi Iwase: I wasn't the type to have dry skin, but recently I've become very dry, so I want to focus on moisturizing. With pollen in the air, many people are experiencing dryness, so this year I want to prioritize moisturizing. After using Ultimune, I found its moisturizing power amazing, and the way it blends into my skin was captivating. -- What did you think of this pop-up store? Akane Horita: I thought it was an event you can only see here. The behind-the-scenes of the CM shoot and the set were recreated, which was interesting. Also, it was an event where you could experience the wonderful power of Ultimune that applies to everyone, and I felt the world of Lisa and Ultimune strongly. It was an event that fans would love, and the strength of Ultimune's products was conveyed very well. -- What do you think is the charm of Ultimune? Who do you think should use it? Akane Horita: I heard that it can be used by anyone, regardless of skin type or age, and since it's a time when skin is sensitive due to pollen, I feel that having a product like Ultimune as a protective item is reassuring throughout the year. I think it would be good for working women in their 30s, like me, who are starting to feel changes in their skin. -- Do you feel there are moments when "basic strength" is important in your life and work? Akane Horita: I think this job is all about feeling the importance of basic strength. Within basic strength, there are various aspects like physical strength, mental strength, and communication skills, and I feel that I need to nurture these every day as I go to various locations. Also, overseas shoots have become tougher over the years, but I keep my spirits up with the desire not to lose to myself. -- Tell us something you do or keep in mind every day. Akane Horita: There are various things, but recently I've been valuing the practice of thinking of three good things that happened during the day before I sleep. Even if I feel like I didn't accomplish much or had a mundane day, when I think about it, I realize it wasn't bad, and I can fall asleep with a positive mindset, which seems to help me feel good the next day. -- Share a moment when you feel you are taking care of yourself. Akane Horita: When I train or maintain my beauty, of course, but when I take the time to cook for myself, I feel like I'm being kind to myself. I feel the deliciousness of Japanese food more and more as I age. It's not a special dish, just rice, miso soup, and side dishes, but when I make and eat those, I feel a sense of fulfillment. -- Has your perspective on skincare changed as you age? Akane Horita: In my 20s, I aimed for simple care, but as I entered my 30s and felt changes in my skin, I thought I should rely more on the power of science. There are many new products out there, and I want to try new things without hesitation and incorporate good products into my routine.
