Stray Kids' Felix volunteers in Laos, donates 100 million won through UNICEF, and continues to achieve chart-topping success.

Felix of Stray Kids continues to emit a positive influence. Today (7th), a photo of Felix taken in Laos was posted on the internet. In the published photo, he is wearing a UNICEF T-shirt and visiting Laos. It has been confirmed that Felix went to Laos for volunteer activities. He is known to have decided to quietly engage in volunteer activities during his vacation period, as he has been working hard with a daily schedule as a globally popular artist. As a result, he put his wish to "help many people in need" into practice. In a recent self-produced content of Stray Kids, he also revealed that he wanted to do volunteer work abroad if he had time. His good deeds are not the first this time. On January 4th of this year, he donated 100 million won (about 10.97 million yen) through the UNICEF Korea Committee. With this donation, Felix became the youngest member of the "UNICEF HONORS CLUB" and the first member in 2024. The fund of 100 million won donated by him was used to support children in Laos who are facing various difficulties due to poor water and sanitation environments and malnutrition. Laos is one of the countries with poor water and sanitation environments and nutritional status, with only 18% of the total population having access to safe drinking water and 33% of children under 5 years old suffering from malnutrition. Through the UNICEF Korea Committee, Felix conveyed, "I decided to participate in this donation because I wanted to share the love I received from fans. I hope that the children in Laos, who are facing various difficulties due to contaminated water, poor sanitation environments, and malnutrition, will grow up healthy in a safer environment in the new year." Cho Mijin, Secretary-General of the UNICEF Korea Committee, revealed, "Felix's kind influence, which is loved by people all over the world, can be conveyed to children around the world through UNICEF, and I am thinking more deeply. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for Felix's warm sharing, which has given great hope and courage to the children in Laos who are welcoming the new year." Stray Kids, to which Felix belongs, started with the achievement of winning first place on the main album chart "Billboard 200" of the American Billboard with the mini-album "ODDINARY" in March 2022, and continued to achieve the feat of winning first place on the same chart for four consecutive works, including "MAXIDENT" in October 2022, full album "★★★★★ (5-STAR)" in June 2023, and mini-album "樂-STAR" in November. In addition, Stray Kids has been nominated for the "Group and Duo of the Year" category at the American "People's Choice Awards" to be held on February 18th, and for the "K-POP Artist Of The Year" and "K-POP Song Of The Year" categories at the "2024 iHeart Radio Music Awards" to be held on April 1st. In July, they will perform as headliners at the "I-Days Milano" held at the IPPODROMO SNAI in Milan, Italy, and the "Hyde Park British Summer Time" in London, becoming the first K-POP boy group to do so.
