BLACKPINK’s Lisa has released her new EP, “PRESS PLAY.” Lisa released the new EP “PRESS PLAY” today (the 23rd) through various music streaming sites. The album contains a total of six songs, including the title track “Tarantino,” as well as “SaWaDiKa,” “V12,” “Cobra,” “Cut U Off,” and “Sweat.” She had previously introduced this album as “a cinematic work with different characters and atmospheres for each song.” The title track “Tarantino” is a song inspired by film director Quentin Tarantino. In the music video, a story unfolds in which Lisa runs around a hotel and carries out action scenes in order to deliver a letter to director Tarantino. On the 22nd, she held a listening party for “PRESS PLAY” in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, and presented all the songs from the album to Korean fans. Using a space reminiscent of a vintage Hollywood theater, she also expressed the album’s cinematic concept offline. The pre-released song “SaWaDiKa” is a track that strongly highlights Lisa’s roots in Thailand, her hometown. Within 24 hours of its release, it recorded more than 70 million views on YouTube and ranked 69th on the U.S. Billboard “Hot 100.” Lisa recently won the “Best Pop,” a major category at the “MTV Video Music Awards,” for her single “Dream.”
