BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) member Jin and Baek Jong-won, the representative of THE BORN KOREA and a culinary researcher, received a non-suspect disposition after joint investment in an agricultural corporation. Today (23rd), according to the legal community, the Hongseong branch of the Daejeon District Prosecutor's Office recently notified a liquor distribution corporation and one related person, sent for suspicion of violating the origin labeling law, of a non-suspect disposition due to insufficient evidence. The liquor distribution corporation and the related person were sent to the prosecution in September on the relevant suspicion. The problematic products were some of the 'IGIN (Aigin) Highball Tonic' manufactured by the agricultural company 'JINI'S LAMP' and distributed by Baeksuldoga. These products were pointed out for using foreign concentrated liquid while labeling them as domestic on the main screen and product information of the online shopping mall. There was no issue with the origin labeling on the product labels. In September, a complaint stating 'there is a risk of inducing consumer misunderstanding' was accepted. At that time, 'JINI'S LAMP' stated, 'The products we produce comply with all relevant laws and regulations from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Food and Drug Administration, and the origin is accurately labeled.' They also commented, 'However, there was a period during which details of other flavored products were mistakenly posted on the online sales page, and we recognized this fact and took immediate corrective measures.'
