Kim Yohan of WEi spoke about his special affection for the members. Recently, he participated in an interview to commemorate the end of the broadcast of 'TRY ~We Will Become a Miracle~' (Directed by Jang Yong-seok, Written by Im Ji-na, hereafter 'TRY'). The work is a comical growth sports drama about the unpredictable eccentric director Ju Garam (Yoon Ge-sang) and the perennial last-place rugby team of Hanyang High School racing towards victory in the national sports competition. Kim Yohan took on the role of the rugby team captain Yoon Seon-jun, receiving praise for his delicate acting and immersive character portrayal. Was there no pressure regarding the genre of sports drama and the focus on rugby? He said, 'Although it is a rugby drama, it does not simply show rugby and sports. I thought it was a work where growth and narrative harmonize and complete.' He added, 'Above all, I absolutely wanted to play the character Seon-jun.' Kim Yohan, who was a taekwondo athlete, emphasized the similarities between himself and Yoon Seon-jun. He conveyed his affection for the character by saying, 'Seon-jun was worried about the match due to an injury. An injury in the third year of high school carries a big risk. I experienced something similar in my third year. There is a season where you have to show results to college scouts, and if you don't perform well, you can't go to college. I understand that urgency very well.' He also shared his experiences of conflicts with his parents regarding his future, stating, 'After entering university, I suffered from injuries when I received a call from the agency. There was my father's great wall of 'You should exercise.' However, at that time, my father was in Japan. Even if I said I wanted to quit, he wouldn't come to Korea to hit me. So I gained a little courage and asked my mother to talk to my father. Now my father is the happiest.' Reflecting on the drama set, he said, 'I thought about whether I would encounter such a work again because the atmosphere on set was so good. Especially, I frequently meet with the rugby team members in private, and our unity was strong. We even ate together on set, deepening our bonds.' He expressed his love for the work. Although he could not participate in WEi's comeback stage in January due to individual activities, he plans to return to group activities in the second half of the year. Kim Yohan conveyed the members' reactions to the drama, smiling as he said, 'Some watched it on their own, and I forced some members to watch it. I forced Kang Seok-hwa and Kim Dong-han to watch it. After that, they started watching it on their own. It was so interesting that I was happy. Other members also said it was interesting. When a villain appeared in the drama, they really got into it, and it felt good.' Regarding the balance between group and individual activities, he stated that there are no conflicts of opinion. Kim Yohan said, 'I couldn't participate in group activities for nearly two years. I wasn't resting; I was always acting, but it ended up being canceled at the final stage, so it seemed like I was resting externally. I felt sorry for the fans, and they might have thought, 'Why don't you just do it together?' The members always said, 'Why do you feel sorry?' They support me, and we get along well.' Preparing to stand on stage as WEi again after a long time, he vowed, 'It's been two years since I performed on stage, so I'm anxious. I have to practice hard and meet the expectations of everyone who has been waiting.' Regarding Kim Joon-soo, who is currently participating in 'BOYS II PLANET,' he said, 'Joon-soo hesitated and said, 'Hyung, I have something to talk about.' After listening to him, I said, 'Do your best. It would be great if you could debut, and I will support you.' He thanked me. I thought it should be that way,' and added, 'I think I should support him as an older brother.'
