SEVENTEEN's new special unit S.COUPS & Mingyu held a listening party in collaboration with Meta Platforms, the first for a K-POP artist. On the 22nd, according to Pledis Entertainment, S.COUPS & Mingyu held a pre-listening party for their 1st mini album 'HYPE VIBES' in Hannam-dong, Seoul, where they unveiled the album for the first time. They organized the event to celebrate the album's release and to enjoy 'this moment' together. About 100 guests, including singer and producer BUMZU and fellow artists who worked on the album, attended the private event. Members of SEVENTEEN also visited the venue. The party atmosphere heated up with BUMZU's DJing, especially with the appearance of S.COUPS and Mingyu. They expressed their excitement and nervousness, saying, 'Since this is our first listening party, we hope everyone here can become friends. We want everyone to enjoy the songs once they are released.' They premiered all tracks from 'HYPE VIBES', starting with the title track '5, 4, 3 (Pretty Woman) (feat. Lay Bankz)'. The album expresses various moments in daily life through music, creating a colorful atmosphere at the venue with cheers and even a 'sing-along'. They performed parts of the new songs live, generating a concert-like excitement. This listening party is notable as it is the first offline event in collaboration with K-POP artists by Meta's Instagram. Their new song challenge, released on Instagram on the 19th, has garnered over 70 million views, receiving a positive response. 'HYPE VIBES' expresses the diverse 'now, this moment' in daily life through music. The title track reinterprets Roy Orbison's timeless love song 'Oh, Pretty Woman', reborn in S.COUPS and Mingyu's unique style. They participated in writing and composing all songs, incorporating their preferences and sensibilities. S.COUPS and Mingyu will release their 1st mini album 'HYPE VIBES' on the 29th at 6 PM and start their activities. Following Mingyu's surprise appearance on S.COUPS's content 'COOKS COUPS' released on SEVENTEEN's YouTube channel on the 20th, they are also scheduled to appear together on the web variety 'Salon Drip 2' on the YouTube channel 'TEO' on the 23rd. A pop-up event to celebrate the release of their 1st mini album will be held in Yongsan, Seoul on the 30th.
