SUGA of BTS has had a significant influence through his goodwill. Recently, the Japan Autism Association stated, "We received many donations from SUGA's fans," and "When we participated in the Osaka-Kansai Expo, we utilized part of the donations. We informed the BTS public relations representative at HYBE JAPAN about the donations from SUGA's fans and how part of it would be used for the Kansai Expo, and we received warm words of support." They continued, "Through this support, we will continue to strive to deepen the understanding of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) among more people." They also mentioned, "Upon receiving news that a care center for autism spectrum disorder was established due to SUGA's donation, our association has received numerous offers of donations from fans. Reactions such as 'I'm happy that warm hearts are spreading' and 'I definitely want to support' have continued, and the total amount of donations exceeded 1.5 million yen. This has become a good opportunity to widely inform about autism spectrum disorder and our association's efforts, for which we are grateful." Prior to this, in June of this year, SUGA donated 5 billion won (about 500 million yen) to Severance Hospital in Korea. Based on this donation, the 'Min Yoongi Care Center' was established at Severance Hospital in September this year. From the second half of last year to the first half of this year, SUGA met with children with autism spectrum disorder and engaged in music volunteer activities, including guitar performances. His thoughts reached Japanese fans, leading to this act of goodwill and creating a positive influence.
