The K-POP reality survival 'Re:Born' competing for a formal Japanese debut. In the broadcast of #2 on the 6th, the first mission was challenged by WAKER, XODIAC, EASTSHINE, BeMAX, L5th, and DXMON. In the previous broadcast of #1, E'LAST appeared in the first mission. Feeling the pressure of being the first performer, they presented an overwhelming performance of the song 'Thrill', arranged in 'Re:Born' style with Japanese lyrics, receiving praise from the judges: singer-songwriter Shin Yumi, singer Kim Teu, and choreographer Hyojin Choi. (C) Re:Born Production Committee. The six-member group WAKER, actively working in Shin-Okubo, Tokyo, also had their activities aired on the show. Many members are fluent in Japanese due to their regular activities in Japan, and Kwon Hyup revealed that fans often call him almost Japanese. There was a scene where MC Jang Geun Suk conversed in fluent Japanese, and he praised, 'You're quite good! Amazing!' They performed 'ATLANTIS'. When judge Hyojin Choi pointed out that some members seemed to struggle during the knee-up dance, it was revealed that member Kohyun had almost no cartilage in his left knee due to over-practicing. Some members blamed themselves for not being considerate enough, as they couldn't adjust the choreography to Kohyun's health condition. (C) Re:Born Production Committee. Next, the global group XODIAC, consisting of two members from Hong Kong, one from Indonesia, and six from Korea, appeared. Member Jayang is the first K-POP artist from Indonesia, where they receive VIP treatment. However, they mentioned that there is a gap in recognition and popularity outside Indonesia, and they want to seize the opportunity through 'Re:Born' for further success. They showcased their debut song 'THROW A DICE' with overwhelming visuals, but Hyojin Choi criticized, 'I think this is not enough. You really need to awaken. It's disappointing because you should be cool.' Kim Teu added, 'If you want to enter a bigger world, you should compete in the Korean and Japanese markets you desire. For that, the nine of you need to work better together.' (C) Re:Born Production Committee. EASTSHINE, the youngest team in the show, has member PHOENIX who is 15 years old, surprising Jang Geun Suk. The reality scene featured the agency's representative warmly watching EASTSHINE's growth while they fight against illness. They performed 'Double Down', energizing the venue with their youthful dance. Hyojin Choi recalled her first dance experience, saying, 'They really matched their breaths, and I thought it was great.' Kim Teu commented, 'They have a bit of a SHINee vibe, and if they practice hard and perfect it, they could become a very high-potential group.' (C) Re:Born Production Committee. BeMAX debuted in 2019 under the name MustB and is the oldest team in the show with an average age of 28. They are always cheerful and entertaining, but behind their smiles lies a tragic experience. They were involved in a traffic accident during their rookie days, suffering serious injuries, and their manager, whom they looked up to like an older brother, did not survive the accident. They revealed that the exercise they started for rehabilitation has now become a healthy hobby, and they all work hard on muscle training. The accident strengthened their bond, and they performed 'Down Down' powerfully with outstanding combination. Not only their well-trained muscles but also their unique charm created a highlight. (C) Re:Born Production Committee. L5th, whose stage is practically their debut stage, attracted attention from other teams due to the lack of information about them. They performed 'AMAZON', which they choreographed themselves. When asked for their thoughts by MC Jang Geun Suk after the performance, they replied, 'We could only show 60% to 70% of our ability, and it's really disappointing.' Kim Teu harshly commented, 'Personally, I think L5th should reflect on themselves and hone their skills before debuting.' It became a bittersweet debut stage for them. (C) Re:Born Production Committee. The last stage of #2 featured DXMON, where four out of five members were diagnosed as I (introverted) in the MBTI personality test. When Jang Geun Suk asked, 'I heard you want to gain something through 'Re:Born', what is it?' HEE answered, 'I want to make friends.' This made other teams burst into laughter. Although they are shy members who spend quiet time in the waiting room, when asked about their enthusiasm, they replied, 'We'll show it on stage.' (C) Re:Born Production Committee. As expectations rose for how dramatically they would transform on stage, they performed 'Burn Up', delivering a dynamic performance full of energy as if possessed by something, completely taking over the audition venue. Jang Geun Suk jokingly remarked, 'You guys came here wanting friends, right? That's a lie, isn't it?' However, the moment the stage ended, they returned to being shy young men. After the stage, Hyojin Choi commented, 'I don't know if this expression is correct, but they seemed like crazy people,' which singer-songwriter Shin Yumi agreed with, saying, 'That's really true!' Furthermore, Kim Teu praised the energy of Tegeuk, saying, 'You're amazing.' (C) Re:Born Production Committee. MC Jang Geun Suk said, 'The most common word I've been told in my life is 'crazy person.' But now, even crazier people have been born. Follow me, brother.' DXMON expressed their joy, saying, 'We gained not just friends but brothers through 'Re:Born'!' The next episode, airing on October 11 (Friday) at 22:00, will showcase the climax of the final selection battle for five groups. MC Jang Geun Suk will announce which teams can advance to the next stage one by one, leading to shocking results that will bring tears to many teams. Attention is focused on which team will advance next.
