Korea's top entertainment, sports specialized paper Nikkan Sports presents a new popular music award ceremony 'KOREA GRAND MUSIC AWARDS', where NewJeans, (G)I-DLE, and ZEROBASEONE received the highest honors. On November 16 at Incheon Inspire Arena, on the first day of the '1st KOREA GRAND MUSIC AWARDS' (hereafter 'KGMA'), Artist Day, NewJeans received the '2024 Grand Artist', (G)I-DLE received the '2024 Grand Record', and ZEROBASEONE received the '2024 Grand Honors Choice' trophy respectively. NewJeans expressed, 'In these two years, we have met many people, experienced a lot, and learned a lot. Today was also a meaningful learning opportunity. Thanks to our supporters, Bunnies (NewJeans' fan name), we could always prepare our best for the stage. The hosts were NewJeans' Hani and actress Nam Ji-hyun. NewJeans, (G)I-DLE, and ZEROBASEONE also won 'Best Artist', achieving double crowns. Taemin and Yontak achieved triple crowns with awards like 'Lulla x Fancast Best Popularity' and 'Lotte Caliverse Transcendent Artist of the Year'. D.O. won 'Best R&B', Lee Yongji was chosen for 'Best Hiphop' and 'Best Artist', achieving double crowns. TVXQ received the 'K-POP Legendary Artist' award, becoming role models for their juniors.
