Kep1er, the first project group of Mnet to renew their contract, releases their 1st full album. Today (3rd), a showcase commemorating the release of Kep1er's 1st full album "Kep1going On" was held at YES24 Live Hall in Kwangjin-gu, Seoul. "Kep1going On" will be released through music streaming sites in Korea and abroad at 6 p.m. today, marking the first new album in about 9 months since the release of the 5th mini-album "Magic Hour" in September last year. The album is a commemoration of the time Kep1er and Kep1ian (fans) have spent together, symbolizing their continued journey towards their dreams. Hikaru Ezaki expressed her excitement about making a comeback after 9 months, promising to show a more grown-up side. Yeseo Kang and Maika Sakamoto did not renew their contracts and will continue their activities under 143 Entertainment. Yeonwoon Seo expressed her excitement about returning with a new look after 9 months. Lastly, Mashiro expressed her happiness about being able to showcase various songs in the album after a long time. The title track "Shooting Star" is a synth-pop genre song with rhythmic drums, emotional synth lines, and impressive electric guitar, conveying the group's feelings to the fans. The album includes a total of 10 songs in various genres, including the Korean versions of "Last Carnival," "Curious," "Flowers, Flutter, Your heart," "Double Up!," "PUSH BUTTON," "PROBLEM," "Dear Diary," "Grand Prix," and the Korean version of "Straight Line." Kim Dayoung challenged rap-making for the first time through the title track "Shooting Star." Maika Sakamoto participated in the lyrics for the song "Curious," reflecting the group's worldview of "space" and "mystery." The album was produced with the active participation of the members, reflecting their opinions in the song selection process and even in the lyrics. This work is the first and last full album released by Kep1er as a complete group of 9 members. Kep1er, formed through Mnet's "Girls Planet 999: Girls Festival" in 2021, recently renewed their contract as a project group with Mnet for the first time and will continue their activities as a group of 7 members. Yeseo Kang and Maika Sakamoto did not renew their contracts and will continue their activities under 143 Entertainment. Yeseo Kang expressed her gratitude to the fans and shared her aspirations for the future. Maika Sakamoto expressed her desire to show a good performance in this album activity. Kim Chehyung emphasized the importance of supporting the members and delivering messages to the fans. Hyunbin Baek expressed her determination to make the full album activity a good memory.
