IVE is transforming into heroes and heightening anticipation for its new album. STARSHIP Entertainment, the group’s agency, released teaser images for IVE’s new mini album “Looks Can Kill” yesterday (the 2nd) through IVE’s official social media. The released images had a composition that was reminiscent of a casting poster for a hero movie, instantly drawing the eye. The six members appeared as heroes with different personalities, and even with only parts of their faces or silhouettes visible, they radiated a powerful presence. The veiled characters stimulated curiosity about what kind of story they would unfold, while also heightening expectations for the new worldview that would expand through this album. The poses and direction that made use of each member’s individuality also stood out. Yujin stared straight into the camera, completing a mysterious atmosphere; Gaeul expressed a strong and energetic character with dynamic movement. Rei added her own wit and composure with a pose pointing her finger toward the camera. Wonyoung etched the presence of her character with a pose that instantly brought a hero to mind, Liz captivated viewers with a strong gaze even amid refined movements, and Leeseo emphasized her own individuality by using uniquely designed gloves, foreshadowing the birth of a new hero. Added to this were masks with different designs for each member, increasing immersion in the concept. The masks symbolizing each character, combined with the mysterious direction, stirred curiosity about what kind of heroes the six members would become and how they would weave their story. After pre-releasing the title track “Looks Can Kill” on the 19th, IVE’s new mini album “Looks Can Kill,” which will be released on the 26th, follows the Cupid and magical girl concepts previously shown and presents another “Another Ego” concept: “Girls’ Hero.” IVE, which has expressed the keyword “self-confidence” in its own unique color until now, will present a spin-off project through this album that expands its worldview more three-dimensionally. While inheriting its existing color, it is expected to show the group’s present by adding new characters and stories, and to raise expectations even for the musical journey that will unfold in the future.
On the morning of the 3rd, IVE’s Yujin headed to Paris, France, via Incheon International Airport to attend Fashion Week. The text also notes that IVE will release a new mini album, "Looks Can Kill," on October 26, with a coming-soon video unveiled, and that an "Annyoongz" exhibition by Yujin and Wonyoung has been confirmed, with a teaser poster released.
IVE’s Wonyoung arrived in Korea through Incheon International Airport on the afternoon of the 1st after completing her participation in Paris Fashion Week. The text also mentions that MUSIC BANK’s Japan concert will be held in December at the National Stadium, with the first lineup of artists and a star MC announced, and that Wonyoung’s lip-sync video showing affection for senior IU has become a hot topic for being beautiful.
IVE is making a comeback after about eight months. STARSHIP Entertainment released a coming-soon video for the new mini album Looks Can Kill. The album will follow a pre-release song on October 19 and be fully released on October 26. It is their first new work since REVIVE+ and comes after their second world tour.
