Im Si-wan has teamed up with SM Entertainment (hereafter, SM). An SM representative revealed today (13th) to Newsen, "We are preparing Im Si-wan's solo album under our label, and details such as the release date are currently being adjusted." Im Si-wan's contract with his previous agency ended in August this year, and he is currently active without an agency. It has been revealed that he partnered with SM due to his connection with senior singer Kanta while preparing for his solo album. This album will be Im Si-wan's first solo album since debuting as a member of ZE:A in 2010, making it particularly meaningful for him. In a recent interview, Im Si-wan showed exceptional affection for his singing activities, and there is high anticipation for what kind of album he will complete through this collaboration with SM. Recently, Im Si-wan gained popularity through seasons 2 and 3 of 'Squid Game' and is also attracting attention for his role in the Netflix film 'Praying Mantis.' Im Si-wan mentioned the drama 'Praying Mantis' and noted, "I noticed a clear difference." He also expressed, "I’m tired of playing villains! I’ve been called all sorts of bad names."
