EXO's Baekhyun mentioned the presents he gave to his parents. Recently, through the YouTube channel 'Chan-an (meaning both unfortunate and cheers)', a video titled 'Baekhyun (feat. Mom Chance) made Tteokguk (Korean rice cake soup) for the first time in his life with cooking learned in technology and home economics' was released. On this day, Baekhyun reflected on his feelings about singing the national anthem at the opening game of the 'MLB World Tour Seoul Series 2024', saying, 'When I go on stage, I feel like I am the biggest person. I think I should overwhelm many people and make the stage mine.' He added, 'I thought I walked confidently, but I felt like a fallen pushpin in the venue. I suddenly thought, 'Why am I here?' The athletes were much bigger than I saw on TV. I felt nervous thinking if I could sing here, it was the most nervous moment since my debut.' Meanwhile, Shin Dong-yup mentioned Baekhyun's trainee life, saying, 'I heard the trainee life was short. I heard you wanted to get close to the members quickly and took a shower together.' Baekhyun, who debuted in less than a year after becoming a trainee, revealed, 'I liked going to the sauna with friends since I was a child. When you get naked with unfamiliar people, you somehow become close. When I first met the members, I entered the bathroom where they were showering and took a shower together. Since I entered with a calm face, we started showering together afterward.' When asked if he had met more sociable idols than himself, Baekhyun praised GOT7's Jackson and BamBam, saying, 'I can't say to someone I just met, 'You're really cool' or 'Hyung,' but they were that type.' He added, 'If they say that, I won't dislike them. It's better to approach and talk first than to stay silent.' Baekhyun mentioned, 'I like to make others feel like I'm lower when I meet someone.' He then explained the reason he could debut as a main vocalist quickly, saying, 'I was lucky. At that time, Lee Soo-man was guiding investors around the company. He came into my vocal lesson and asked me to sing. I sang really well. When I do well or feel good, I can tell right away. I thought I could debut. After Lee Soo-man told the staff, 'This time, it's good,' he left.' Shin Dong-yup then said, 'I’m having dinner with Lee Soo-man next week, so I’ll ask him a bit.' After that, when asked what kind of presents he gave to his parents, Baekhyun said, 'Rather than cuteness, I think about what I can realistically do for them.' He confessed, 'I bought them a house. I regularly change their car and gave them all my income for about three years.' He added, 'I have received good treatment. When I think about who will take care of my parents, there is only the child, right?'
